Sterling banned for life. No idea how that impacts the next game.....I have bet GSW already but not sure I would now.
Swift, decisive, & strong. An example that other sport ruling bodies would do well to emulate. Although not exactly transparent, given the NBA Constitution isn't a public document. Nevertheless, aside from the fact that $2.5m is pennies to a man like Stirling (the loss of advertisers will hit him substantially harder of course) the decision seems to be wholly appropriate and certainly Herr Blatter could learn a few things from the NBA Commissioner's approach to racist behaviour. Wp NBA IMO. |

I have istened to that recording of Donald Sterling and as much as I abhor racism, I am not convinced that this was an act of racism. It was imo blinkered and somewhat misguided. Ignorant even but there is something that doesn't sit right with that recording. I'd be interested to here what others think.
I can understand why sponsors pulled out.
