Not that anybody probably can or does but i would strongly strongly suggest avoiding Betway

More and more problems being reported looks more and more like a ponzi scheme

links please?  I got some ante post nba bets with them.

Betway cannot be allowed to sponsor a championship race at Cheltenham when they are refusing to pay out on winning bets from UK punters.

@Alex_0wen Have you read their terms and conditions? Reserve the right to confiscate all winnings for "irregular betting".

Rory Delargy ‏@helynsar  37s37 seconds ago
@Alex_0wen "irregular betting" is an open-ended definition including "low margin bets" and even using same WiFi Network as other punters.

And the main worry

Antony Wedgwood @antwedgwood  ·  39m 39 minutes ago
Betway are now saying they're confiscating winnings despite sending all requested documents on three occasions.

Does seem worrying.

I have just tried to log into my account and found out the account has been closed/log in frozen without betway even emailling me to confirm this has happened.  They do look a disgraceful firm business practice wise.

Our support team will be with you shortly. You are currently number 1 in the queue. We estimate that you will be answered within 2 seconds.

You are now chatting with 'Tony'
Tony: Hi there
you: hi
Tony: My name is Tony
Tony: How may I assist you today?
you: i cant assist my account
you: i clicked forgotten password
you: but havent got an email to my email address
you: hello?
Tony: I'm sorry to hear that. Could I start by getting your username please?
you: xxxxxxx
you: my records say my password is xxxxxxxx
you: but it wont let me log in
Tony: Thank you. Just a moment then please.
Tony: Thank you for waiting. I have had a look here and I can see that due to our managements decision, this account has been closed. Please note that this decision was made on the highest level and will not be re-considered. We will of course honor any outstanding bets you might have, and any balance in the account would have already been transferred back to you.
you: when was i informed of this decision?
you: why was my account closed?
Tony: I'm afraid I can't see that. I ca only see that this was closed as per management decision.
you: what outstanding bets do i have on the account as i cannot see my account details
you: what was the reason for closing my account?
you: and why haven't you have the decency to inform me of this decision?
Tony: It looks like all the bets on the account are already settled. I'm afraid I can't see that.
you: what was the last bet on the account?
you: that was settled?
Tony: That was a Top Goalscorer for the World Cup, that you unfortunately did not win.
you: which player?
Tony: Arjen Robben
you: ok when was the balance sent to my bank account
you: what date was the account closed?
you: can u confirm the final amount which was sent to my bank account please?
Tony: The account was closed on The 08.07.2014. The final withdrawal was of the amount 550£ and was issued on the 15.07. It would have been in your account in 3-7 business days thereafter.
you: can you send me a full breakdown of my account to my email address please
you: bets and deposits/withdrawls
you: as i have no access to the account to see if i currently have a balance in my account
you: and you havent paid me
Tony: I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to gather this for you. To gather this, I would advise you to email manager@betway.com
you: ok can you contact them for me
you: and get them to send it to me
you: i find it very rude my account was disabled without you contacting me to tell me why
Tony: I'm afraid I can't do that. You would have to put through a formal request to this email.
you: why can't you do it ?
you: why do you close accounts without telling the person in question it has happened?
you: via email
you: why was my account closed when i lost money to you?
you: what did i do wrong?
you: i don't understand
Tony: I'm sorry, but I can not see that. I have provided you with all the information I have.
you: so you don't know why accounts are closed?
you: and the reason why i was not informed
you: is that normal company policy?
Tony: Hi there
Tony: My name is Tony
Tony: How may I assist you today?
Tony: I'm sorry, but this is the information I have. I just wouldn't be able to find out more.
you: can you pass my requests on to your manager then
you: and get them to email me
you: your customer service is terrible
you: i want to know why my account was close
you: d
you: when i lost money with you
you: and you didnt even have the respect to email me to tell me this had happened
Tony: I'm sorry, but as I mentioned I can not do that. You would have to put through a formal request to manager@betway.com.
you: why cant you just pass them this chat log to them?
you: rather than me, the customer, having to do it again
you: why am i doing all the work
you: when i have lost money to you?
Tony: I'm afraid this is the process I have to follow.
you: can you ask your manager why my account was closed
you: and i was not informed
you: i appreciate you don't know the answer
Tony: I'm afraid they would still have to investigate this. That is why you would have to formally request it, as opposed to me just asking here.
you: i am formally asking you to request it for me here
you: just copy and paste this chat log to the manager internally
you: why is that so hard for you to do?
you: your customer service is not very helpful at all
Tony: I'm sorry you feel that way, but as I mentioned, I just can't do it. I would of course do so, if I had the option for it, but the way I provided to you, is just the only way to do this.
you: why cant you copy and paste this chat log with my username and internally send it via email to your manager?
you: i dont understand
you: dont you have an email address internally?
Tony: I'm sorry, but I just can't help with this.
Tony: Do you have any more questions or queries ?
you: will this mananger know why my account was closed?
you: and be able to supply me with all my bets placed
you: and deposits/withdrawls so i can prove i had no balance when my account was closed?
you: what bet was the £550 withdrawl relating to?
Tony: Yes, they will be able to investigate this for you.
Tony: I'm afraid I can't see that.
you: how can you see my last bet settled then?
you: which was top scorer bet
you: if you cant see the last winning bet?
you: you clearly have access to my account bets
Tony: I can see the bets, but I can not see what the withdrawal was for as these are registered separately.
you: what was my last winning bet
you: which was settle
you: d
you: and how much was it for?
Tony: Your last winning bet was on horse racing, EW, on Party Royal and paid out 79.88£.
Tony: Do you have any more questions or queries ?
you: no
you: thank you for your awful customer service
you: the customer experience losing money to you was as bad as i can ever remember spending my hard earned money on any product in my life.
you: i lose several thousands of pounds to you
you: you close my account without even telling me why
you: and now i cant access my account history to gain confirmation that you havent just stolen my balance as you cant prove it via my betting history and deposit/withdraw history

^^^ didn't someone else tip Walsall once twice to do something?

Just waiting for someone to tip Soton for the league at 50/1 after we are on them to go down, top 4 and 6 finish from redarmi from BE you could finally lose the 'full eso kral walsall' gag!
If only.....

i aint seen any bets other than my orginal tip then to lay it off when it was at the bottom of the market

personally if i was able to and had money to invest i would be laying saints for top 4 and top 6 now or after the villa game
and then covering the bet after the man u game on the 10th of jan

in that spell of 10 games we play 7 games against teams that finished above us last season
2 games v man u and arsenal
and games against city chelsea and everton

despite the league posistions i would be laying the saints in all 7 of those games

The only thing worth remembering is that Saints seem to have hit the perfect storm this season of teams on a downer.

Beat West Ham away - no Sakho, no Valencia, no Song playing
Beat Swansea away - Bony idiotic red card when Swansea were well on top
Beat Newcastle at home when they were in the doldrums
Beat Sunderland at home when they as good as gave up
Beat Leicester at home when they were in a slump of form

Still favour Saints in the match bet v Everton which is essentially the fight for that 6th spot. 4/9 Saints, 2/1 Everton at the moment.

Juat seen this from Mr Bald.

MONEY BACK 2ND RACES

Every day we have at least 1 race where we give you your get money back as a free bet if you selection comes 2nd. Today’s race is the 2.50 Kempton.

The Oddschecker page is here......

http://www.oddschecker.com/horse-racing-betting/kempton/14:50/winner

The fav would be the obv bet, but I don't really like the wide draw, it could get into trouble and finish down the field, so would rather use this kind of offer for a well drawn up with the pace type of horse.

Not that anybody probably can or does but i would strongly strongly suggest avoiding Betway

More and more problems being reported looks more and more like a ponzi scheme

Has anyone asked the Gambling Commission to look at it - Betway have a provisional license under the new legislation.

Think its a bit different now as it is mandatory to have a licence from them to do business in the uk and the published reasoning for this is consumer protection.  If they are negligent, I can see them being sued or at least some legal avenue being taken.

I will wait and see then, based on the fact they have not replied to at least 12 twitter requests going back weeks i wont hold my breath

Nobody at Betway will now even speak to me via Live Chat or Telephone. Owed £1400 even if they refund deposits.

Just trying to warn people when there is this much evidence building up much like Bet Butler it will only end one way

If people are doing this they should bear in mind that you are better taking 9/1 elsewhere than 8/1 Fred with the offer.

I assume thread is no longer eligible for betfred offers given the restrictions on the account, so we should probably just give it a miss.

I'm coming round to the view that there might be a surprise top 4 team this year.  Not because Saints/Swansea/WHU are especially good, but more the fact that Liverpool/Spurs and to a lesser extent Man Utd/Man City/Arsenal are so poor this year.  I've not remembered a season like it.  Liverpool and Spurs are playing like lower midtable outfits.

They are far more interested in sending in teenage girls in betting shops to put a fiver in the fob machines and then warn the licence holder that they are not "socially responsible".

They also beat these teams by a combined 18-1.  Even if you take the Sunderland game out of the equation that is impressive and the idea that teams were not in form in a season that has is only 11 matches old seems a bit results centric and it has already been shown that, for example, Newcastle weren't actually playing that badly in that period.  Soton have clearly had a fairly good run of fixtures and I don't think anyone is suggesting they are going to win the league but at this point I would much rather back them as a team that is getting it done both in terms if results and stats on a weekly basis than take a leap of faith on a team like MU will randomly find form when nothing they have done so far suggests they are anything better than a poor top ten team.

On another note what on earth has happened to Man City?  There is something intangible that seems to have gone wrong there.
