will get 1/6th of stake at full odds for the win side of the bet and 4/6th of stake for place part of bet.

Sadly 2.8 does not apply for our bet as it was a different category of bet.
We lose because rule 9.3 says:

9.3. Top Tournament or Team Goalscorer
Goals scored in 90 minutes and extra-time are included but penalty shoot-outs do not count.   All in run or not.   Own goals do not qualify for this market and will be disregarded.  Dead-Heat rules apply.   For the FA Cup, Champions League, and UEFA goals count from the first round proper onwards.
