Nearly 6 years since I left but doubt it's changed to much, The Woodlane bit (there long before Tremough) has always had an excellent reputation so I am sure your daughter will do well, and most of the student accommodation use to be within walking distance (i guess thats still the same).

She will love it, Falmouth/Cornwall IMO is a fantastic place for the young students to have the opportunity to further their education, if either of you have any questions about the area you are more than welcome to fire away either here or PM

Some fantastic pics everyone. Love the DeLorean pics. Aluminium body if I remember right.

I could be wrong, but I thought the DeLorean was stainless steel.

Indeed it was Tom with a fibreglas underbody according to wiki.

That would explain why he's not in bad shape at his great age. Thanks for sharing Kev.

Does it not itch a bit in your nether regions Tom?

I just remembered I took these photos of a kookaburra good few years back in Australia.  Going back so far it was a film camera, shock horror!

This one used to fly over and wait for us to go and get some raw chicken to feed it!

Here he is with a friend.

Right click the image and check the properties to see what shutter speed the blurred pics were taken at?

If they were at anything faster than 1/250 take more water with it!

In all seriousness, you should be ok down to about 1/60

I'm not sure what that means, David, but under "Properties", it says  (amongst other things...)

Exposure time 1/5th of a second

ISO - 400

F-stop - f/3.2

Focal length 6mm

Max aperture 3.2

There's your problem. 1/5th of a second is forever for a hand held shot. In those situations you need to increase the ISO or use the flash.

It should come on automatically in low light and I suspect that's because you're in sport mode or something, there will be an autoflash setting though so you'll either have to carry a big torch / RTFM / get some help

That can't be right surely?

If it is, I'd still say that it's better to remember to lift the flash when you're indoors than to fiddle with the ISO settings.

PS Tom, in hindsight you were so right with the 'don't get a DSLR' ...

To correct myself a little, there's a button to raise the flash and a "flash required" indicator on the screen. If you don't raise the flash when it suggests you should, it assumes you have selected "flash off".

I believe Tom is right.

As to your final sentence, Tom nailed it perfectly, right from the very start, he knows me too well.

I'm just not mentally or physically equipped for fiddling with lenses & stuff, & I don't think I am ever going to grasp all this ISO stuff. I just want to take pretty pictures.
