Can't actually see your pics Tom, can only see a pic of a frog. Can see the one Lee posted though.

No idea why that is Woods.

The Thai Islands look stunning, and great pics considering they're from your iPad.

I thought the bridge would be at the back, or 'stern' as we sophisticates say.

Oh no, the bridge of a ship is at the front, where the driver, as we sophisticates call him, sits.

Or at the back...

Or in the middle...

If you're on a narrowboat, it's right at the very back. And in a not so subtle link, I've just come back from a week on a narrowboat.

Saw quite a few of these:

And these (not such a good photo - didn't have a filter for reflections at the time)

Went through 96 of these

The kids actually got some exercise

While I mostly did this

And I have to say, despite the subject being an ugly mofo, I really like the quality of this last shot. Which was taken by my 9 year old son. Good composition, focus, nice foreground and background interest, etc, seems to work.

Ooh, fair point Sir.

I saw a VERY odd looking ship in Southampton, called, I think, "Georgia Highway", it looked like it had been cut in half. I took a (really bad) photo or two, but I had better not use this Thread to Upload them, so I'll stick it on my Diary later.

Amazing how one bad photo (Tom's blurry waterfall thing) has re-awoken this thread. I may even put some more of my classic photos up later.

If you're on a narrowboat, it's right at the very back........

Not sure 'Bridge' is quite the right word for the drivers position on a narrowboat???

A definition from somewhere on the interweb - 'The elevated, enclosed platform on a ship from which the captain and officers direct operations.'

You are not telling me that from this picture you can't see Rex is obv the Captain of this ship. I bet the kids and wife never got to wear that hat and take a turn at the rudder. Bet no one gets to touch the BBQ in his house either Smiley
