Yes the S3. Do you have it too? Everything about it frustrates me atm. Except for the battery life that is, this one lasts about 3 times longer than my previous phone. Oh and it's lightning fast. |

Moved from iPhone and I absolutely love it. How weird battery life is one thing I was disappointed with. I think I might have a few too many apps and widgets and I don't stop them running in the background often enough. If you need any help just give me a shout and I will tell you to switch it off then on again.. |

Terrific photos Tom, you make it look so easy. On that park bench, is that "lichen" I can see? If so, what an extraordinary thing lichen is. If it's not, carry on, as you were. |

There are any number of types of lichen. Some that grow on hard rock, even granite, actually dissolve the rock with chemicals & extract nutrients somehow. They can take a century or more to grow to the size of a fingernail. In Bryson's ASHONE he described tham as the ultimate example of clinging to life. I could go on, but best not...... PS - Woodsey LOVES this stuff really. |

 Actually, lichens do grow pretty well on paint. Especially the older, non anti-fungal paints.  Also, going back to my days as an interior designer, 'Lichen' is quite a popular paint colour. | Click to see full-size image. |
