Never heard of that lens.  Seems Amazon do it too for the same price.  You could look into a reverse adaptor for the kit lens, that would do the job too.

After my daughter ended up with all my DSLR camera equipment, i am looking to get a decent compact camera.

Does anyone have any good recommendations.?

Max budget £500, cheaper would be better.

Cheers

The latest mirrorless range of cameras are amazing, dslr functions (changeable lenses, raw files etc) in a compact body.   I bought the Panasonic GX7 a year or so ago and love it.

Yep, well they certainly can do. Start at about £250 and go upwards.  Maybe worth getting the lower price range one such as the Canon M10 and perhaps a 70-200 equivalent lens to go with?  Anyway, mirrorless is certainly worth looking into.  I know guys that have given up on their DLSR's to go fully mirrorless.

Cheers,

It's an owl Wink

Taken on a photo day I went on at the Andover Hawk Conservancy.  Had a good day but didn't get that many good shots, this is probably the best of the bunch.  It was a specific photography day so we had a couple of guys that work there getting the birds fly from one "post" to another.   This was in the woodland/graveyard bit they show the owls in.  Would recommend it as a day out, particularly if you have youngsters, they'd love it.
