"We lost the championship at home against the lower teams. But we played sometimes at home in a very difficult climate.
We have to realise that away from home, we are championship winners
. At home against the smaller teams we dropped the points," Wenger said.

Sometimes people find it convenient to forget that English is not AW's first language and consequently there might be some small lapses in his statements which the media especially can't wait to pounce on.
What I think he meant to say is that our away form was of a good enough standard for the team to have been champions but our home results haven't been.
I don't think anyone could pick any holes in that statement.
I listened to the press conference and I'm with you on this - it would be exactly my interpretation as well. Wenger has a point IMO.. Of the top 5 teams (before yesterdays games) Arsenal have dropped more points at home to teams below this top 5 than anyone else in the group.
He also said in the conference "We are top of the league in the top teams". Not perfect English but he is right there as well. Record so far (against Leicester, Spurs, City, United) is W4
L1. That's the best record Arsenal have had against the top 5 teams for 9 seasons. Funny that the media and the critcis in recent seasons always attack Arsenal for "their lack of mentality" based on performance against the top teams yet ignore it this season.

Honestly why do we look like utter shit these days when we play football? A teamsheet that brilliant yet they play like there have been no training sessions taking place at the club since January, like they just show up on matchday and try and figure it out.
There are odd exceptions in games where we get outplayed/dominated. But, generally, Arsenal at home play against teams that concede most of the possession to us and have a 10 man defence within 10 yards of their box. It's hard to look good against this and we don't have the players of say Barca, Bayern who regularly face this as well.
Other than Spurs probably, we still play the best, most patient, consistently good football so it's a shame we blew it this year.

...........Leicester, 5000-1. It's not such a leap of faith to think maybe we can with AW at the helm.
Or is it.............

It is rumoured that West Ham United have bid £24m for Theo Walcott.
Would you sell?

It would be good if Walcott could go somewhere where he was going to start more games - I'd wish him well. Done a lot of good things in an Arse shirt without ever becoming outstanding - fine player tho.

Nope. If AW is staying, maybe he could finally play him up front for a sustained period and let the good times roll!!

Made my morning, that, & just reward for 19 consecutive seasons qualifying for the Champions League, something no other English Team has ever done.

Good, I'm going to delegate you to take the inevitable incoming flak, then, you do it better than me.
What an amazing thing to do though, 19 straight years, that success by any yardstick.
