Another bizarre decision to me.

A bloke considered a protege no more than a few months ago pretty much told he can go.

A strange choice of club too. I don't understand what the reasoning is.

If it's attitude, then sending a bloke with an over inflated ego to a smaller club to be big fish, won't exactly teach him humility.

If it's fitness and game time, then give him some at our club, but don't send him to a team likely to be scrapping for their lives most weeks, and expect to get back a better more refined player.

If he does well, he will have a year left on his contract and will be pretty much, up yours Arsenal, and if he does badly, then we should have sold him now anyway.

Don't get it....again.

Jack will never say up yours Arsenal, he has been a huge gooner his whole life. Everyone knows that Wilshere has enough potential to force his way back into the first team at Arsenal but quite rightly he needs regular first team exposure if he's ever going to be able to get there, plus i'm sure Jack wants to play rather than sit on the bench. I seriously doubt Arsene is loaning him with the intention of cashing in next summer given the loyalty he typically shows his players or that Wilshere wants to leave permanently.

Understood, but my point is that AW isn't looking to cash in on Wiltshire. However JW will only have a year left when/if he returns and we may be looking at another RVP scenario, ie not cashing in at price optimum time, if HE decides he has had enough.

I take on board your point about BEING a Gooner, but we shall see in a years time how he feels.

It's W-I-L-S-H-E-R-E btw.

Serious question here Adz:

In light of your earlier comments about his situation, do you think that AW should have extended JW's contract before loaning him out for this season?

Not sure if this is a set up to have a pop, but anyway, yes. Either way its probably the correct business move regardless of how you feel about him, unless, of course, his wage demands are ridic.

You do realise that this is a player who has only started a total of 80 games in the previous eight seasons.

I honestly feel that this is a watershed season for Jack and that he would like nothing more than to have a good run of games for AFCB and come back and become the player that he is capable of being next season for AFC.

No chance of him angling for a move with one year to go, and a very good and brave move by both him and AW imho.

Arsenal Legends match now live on ITV4 in front of what looks like a capacity crowd at Ashburton Grove.

Pires, Overmars, Parlour, Kanu and many more familiar faces.

Proving once again that he moves with the times, Arsene was sporting a nice new coat during Arsenal's never in doubt stroll to victory over Southampton on Saturday.

If we finish top 4 again...do we extend Arsene's contract?

I have to say my gripes with him have lessened significantly with the purchases of Mustafi and Perez.

If Wenger wants a new contract then he'll get one. Dream manager for non-football reasons as has been discussed before.

I think he's currently leaning towards not renewing unless we bink something. He was going to quit if we didn't win the FA Cup a few years ago and I think it's the same situation now.

Not impressed with Xhaka, Elneny, and Holding then?

I can't see anyway he's there next season and have piled on accordingly @ 11/10.
Unless they win the league (not going to happen) or the Champions League (definitely not going to happen).
I think the first three places in the league are going to go to Man City, Man Utd and Chelsea. That leaves one spot with Arsenal, Pool, Spurs and Everton going for it. No easy task but even if he gets it, I don't think it'll be enough.
Even if he gets 4th and they bink a cup, I still don't think it's enough. If Spurs finish ahead of them, naturally he's gone.
He's in the last year of the contract and it's a natural end.

I hear Arbboy is keen on him replacing Sparky at the Bet365 Stadium at seasons end. Natural fit imo Smiley

Already feels quite dreary already.

The big three are looking far stronger and better prepared and we look like we will be in a battle with at least 3 other teams to gain our beloved 4th spot.

Not a lot more need be said until Xmas.
