Painful to watch.
We are now more vulnerable from our own goal-kicks than opponent's set-pieces.
I'm struggling to comprehend what system/formation we are trying to play.

At least 3 occasions yesterday Lenos GK was rolled a couple of yards for the recipient to hoof it 60 yards. That's even stupider than trying to roll a slow, straight pass 10 yards. Poor sokratis, never seen a player look so glum

Not at all dissimilar to forcing Cech to mess about in his own area last season. My patience with Senor Emery's tactics is wearing a little thin and hopefully there will be major improvement when Hector and Tierney start games. |

Took about 5 minutes yesterday to see we were going to be outplayed. Having somehow got 2-0 up you would really think it was possible to adjust a little and get the win. Very frustrating but at least we didn't lose.. And we probably deserved to |

Saka impressed again tonight as did Willock in somehow achieving a clear-cut 3-0 win and a clean-sheet(+ Mustafi) away to Eintracht-Frankfurt.
Played goal-kicks mostly long too which certainly helped.

A truly uplifting and thoroughly enjoyable game of football this evening for so many reasons.
Tierney played ~75 minutes and looked very assured with a nice deceptive turn of foot.
Holding played the whole game flawlessly and even got a well-deserved goal from a corner after almost nine months out.
Hector came on for the last fifteen minutes and immediately provided a tap-in assist for Willock.
Torreira played in his correct position in front of the back-4 and looked like his old dynamic self.
Martinelli bagged a brace. Saka, Willock, and Nelson all played with freedom, verve, and joie-de-vivre.
Hopefully a few other Blonde gooners managed to watch the game.

Was kind of watching it 60% of the time in the background while doing other things - didn't watch closely enough to appreciate Tierney's performance but was good to see Holding and then Hector's cameo |

I didn't mention Calum Chambers who had a dynamic performance firstly at RB and then LB after Tierney went off.
He even managed three assists on the night after scoring the equalizer on Sunday against Villa.
He's in very good form and really deserves to start games.
