Spotted on google....
St Totteringham's Day.
2025/2026 Season:
Sunday 1st March 2026
Achieved in 28 Matches
1st March 2026 Update:
We have much to celebrate today! St. Totteringham's Day has been achieved, and its the earlist ever on record! With Fulham beating Spurs 2-1 at home, Tottenham are mathematically unable to catch Arsenal! 28 matches is all it took, with 10 to spare! It's a two-fold combination: First, Arsenal being on top of the league for so long, with an impressive, albeit not perfect form. And secondly (let's be honest), more down to the fact that Spurs have been ABSOLUTELY awful this season!
As of writing this, it has been 10 Premier League games since the Spuds won a match, and they have not won anything in 2026. Ouch. Considered we had 6 painful years of no St. Totteringham's Day, the last few years, in particular the last two seasons have felt somewhat like a walk in the park. The gap between Arsenal and Tottenham is arguably as wide as it has ever been.
Naturally, all eyes turn towards the Premier League - can we do it? We are still in all four competitions, and my feeling is if we win one we will win more. I am starting to believe that we might just do this, but there's a long road to go still. The game that will probably decide the fate of us is the Man City away game on the 22nd March. If we beat them there, we'll go on to win the league.
As for the future of St. Totteringham's Day, well, if I'm honest I hope Spurs don't go down. Sure, we'll all have a good laugh. But it will make this website seem rather pointless! When do we celebrate St. Tott's if Spurs get relegated? Arguably it would be the first day of the season as that's the mathematical date. We're getting ahead of ourselves, but I believe they will find a way to scrape into 17th, again. Congratulations to the Gunners again this year, and LES DO DIS!

That, of course, pre-dated last night's Spurs - Palace game.

Spurs just look awful at the minute.
Some of it can be semi-explained by bad luck. For example the injuries, and the surprising abject failure that was Frank.
But it is equally true to say some parts are, or at least should be, blindingly obvious. To give 2 examples:
1. We had a similarly bad run with injuries last year. So-for example-why could we not have had recall options for players out on loan. 1 Defender, 1 nidfielder, 1 attacker. So-for example-if players would be in the starting 11 for us due to injuries, they could be recalled. Right now, Vuskovic should be playing CB and Mikey Moore on the Wing.
2. What exactly is the point of Igor Tudor? Brought in without being able to sign players. Told he is only a short-term appointment. Says he needs to boost confidence, and then proceeds to say half the players are unfit, and half lack fight. And that this is his hardest ever job. And says all this publicly. That's going to really help restore confidence. Can see why he hasn't lasted at 10 clubs in the last 13 years, and only won the Croatian Cup in all that time. His zero knowledge of the English game is exemplified by his pronouncements about referees. And don't even start me about subs. Porro was having 1 if his better games. His creativity is always there, and sometimes he was in the same Postcode as the opposition Winger. Gray having his best game in Midfield for Spurs. So-switch him back into Porro's position in Defence?
Arsenal? I think you will win the League. You are not playing well. But because you are playing OK, and none of the chasers look to be playing well enough to catch up. Still believe if you had stuck with Unai Emery, you would not have gone 22 years without winning the League.

As Terry Griffiths once famously almost said "We're in the final now".
It's been a pretty decent week after a few testing ones but I am wary of getting too carried away..

Know the feeling.
In the past, you have been more Spurs-y than us, regularly snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. It is faintly ridiculous that a Club of your size and ability has never won the Champions League, or the Premier League for the last 22 seasons.
22 years ago was, of course, your "Invincibles" season. A look at the current Portuguese Table amuses me. Too much is made about how supposedly uncompetitive other Leagues are, but not in Portugal.
Mourinho is only 2 games away from having an Invincibles season (P32, W20, D 10). But Benfica cannot win the title, as Porto are 9 Points ahead. And Sporting Lisbon are level on Points with Benfica.
The Top 3 in Portugal have this record:- P96 W72 D21 L3. All the more remarkable when you factor in that 12 of those results involve those 3 playing one another
Think you will win the League. You'll probably be 2nd Favourites in the Champions League, but plenty of worse teams have defied much bigger odds in that Final
I'm sure you and Tony won't mind that this Spurs fan won't be wishing you luck in the CL Final. But please feel free to "hammer" Wet Spam

Won't you feel a bit dirty rooting for us on Sunday Phil?
Great result at Villa Park last weekend btw, Di Zerbi seems to have had quite an effect.

A little.
I'm not saying rivalry isn't important-it is. But perspective is also important.
I love my Club. Always have. Always will. Like any true fan, the "like" bit can be a bit strained sometimes. But never the Love. Which is far, far more fundamental than the Dislike I have for Arsenal.
I was lucky enough that, when I was young, my Mum worked for the Arsenal for a while. And the Director who was her boss was a lovely man who understood where the right line is on tribalism.
It has always been a slight disappointment to me that, by and large, Arsenal fans are thoroughly nice people. On that subject, so are West Ham fans. Spurs have always liked West Ham, although the feelings have never been mutual. Surprising that they never mention single-handedly winning the World Cup 60 years ago
