Cool thread, read the lot. Recently lost my Nandos cherry, loved the food. No mention of the peas throughout the whole thread, maybe they didn't have them back in the day. Chicken liver well gorgeous.
Classic old school blonde thread with lots of old school posters.

The new-ish Sunset Burger is a game changer, definitely worth another go

Two flame-grilled PERi-PERi chicken thighs, melted cheese, spinach, mayo, and red pepper chutney, in a ciabatta type bun.
I get it without cheese/mayo, and it's really good.

Looks like you might need extending jaws like snake to get your gnashers around that.

I just flip the top of the bun off, and eat it with knife & fork. Proper civilized, me
Almost forgot, you can add a grilled pineapple ring for 50 pence, which is a winner.

Half chicken extra hot with chips and rice and extra hot sauce to drown the whole lot in.
Factually the correct answer. It has been proven in tests.

I usually only go for hot/chilli sauce with kebabs, which I'm purchasing from unknown vendors.

Big anniversary time for me so I treated my wife to Nandos as she'd never been before.
Had the red pepper dip- whatevs.
Hot buttterfly with mash & peas. 1 x Sagres
My wife went with
Medium 1/4 chicko, chips and slaw, 1 x Pinot
Towards the end of a fine evening a waiter asked if all was OK and if 'he could get me anything'. I asked for a beer, he said I had to go up and queue. Made me wonder what he could have actually got me.
Anyway, I probs won't rush back on account of the service angle, but the food isn't terrible but it aint very interesting either

The thing that always strikes me about Nandos is the huge disparity between branches with portion sizes, service, cleanliness.
You can go to The Light in Leeds, order chips with peri peri salt and get 7 chips and no salt then you can go to a newish one in Milton Keynes and get about 100 chips absolutely loaded with the gorgeous peri peri salt.
In my experience the city centre ones are generally terrible and the newer ones in shopping centres/entertainment complexes much better.
For reference, my order is the extra hot Butterfly chicken breast with spicy rice and peri-peri chips along with extra extra hot sauce and a perenaise dip (which I highly reccommend).
Would never hesitate to go to nandos when I fancy one as I know what I'm getting (unless I go to the Light in Leeds or the one in the middle of York) but nowadays there are so many different restaurants to try at reasonable prices that I don't go anywhere near as much as I used to.
I massively defended it against Nick Goff on twitter the other week though
