This is truly it now, I'm quitting smoking!

So due to some issues over the past few years I would rather not go in to, I've fully decided to quit smoking.
"Why is this kid on next hype posting this?" I feel you ask.
Well for the DTD regs that know me, if you see me outside on a break with a fag in my hand or mouth, I want you to slap it out my hand and me around the face. I'm the tattooed dealer. Lol. I'm asking for help because my will power is crap.
Thanks in advance.

I dont know if this will work. But I don't photograph well. Lol.
This morning was pretty hard. Favourite morning ritual was coffee, fag and check my internet stuff. I still need to get rid of the ashtray, its looking me in the eyes. Thanks for the support by the way.

Well done on taking the major step, and good idea to start a thread about it, should help you, should help those thinking about quitting. Don't worry if you stumble a little, just get back up and eventually, you'll be free of them.
I had a fag about 4 years ago. I bought a pack with some wine and fish and chips, I smoked one and felt sick, threw the pack away. Was so pleased, I think it's now totally out of my system.
I had tried and tried for a long time. It was mostly in vain, because what was important was not the decision to quit smoking, but the decision to quit the environment that made me want to smoke. Drinking weakens your defences quite severely, you might have to give that up for a while or stay away from the scene. It could be the most important decision you ever make.
When I was giving up, there were no e-cigs, I think quitting would have been easier with them.
You know you can give up. Write down for yourself situations you will find yourself in where you fancy a fag and how you will get away from these situations and not smoke. Knowing that you can control this is 40% of the battle. Willpower is only 60%. Many people fail to quit and go on to die from smoking because they don't realise this. You have to believe that you will have the power to control how you act, to give up smoking.
Good luck. Fags are madness, you realise this the longer it's been since you smoked.

Well despite my pretty epic fuck up on the live commentary of todays 6-max tourny today, I still haven't smoked.
I found of my old electric fag and the last 2 filters for it and i've been using that. Granted I smoke that more than I would a normal cig but its only water vapour and some small trace elements of nicotine. My girlfriends been really supportive, even though she had a few while she was out with friends tonight, she is quitting with me.. All the ashtrays are gone from our house and the lighters too. She actually understands how much of a big step this is for me as I have been smoking for the past 10 years. I feel like a change is coming on, going to actually start using that gym membership I pay for and start looking after myself better. Doctors orders at the end of the day.
