If he spoke to Jones he spoke to Davies. Small punt at 25/1.

If McCarthy has come to a financial settlement with Wolves I can see him being offered the job.

3/1 at the moment.

He would be the best short term fit given Wednesday's style of play currently.

No point in trying to change that style with 13 games of the season left.

Not giving Megson until the end of the season is a joke - although the football is ugly he would certainly have them up for the play off's - he's shown in the derbies that he can get the players motivated.

But then it's MM who is the chairman and he has form for this sort of thing doesn't he.

whether it's the right or wrong decision surely changing the style is exactly the reason for making a managerial change

You've not seen the players week in, week out  Smiley

They are of limited ability - trying for example to get them to play a passing game would be suicidal. Teams like MK Dons and Huddersfield would tear them apart.

Bear in mind it is only the last month where the wheels came off against teams like Exeter and Chesterfield - for the rest of the season the style has worked.

It's more about a new manager changing mindsets and confidence levels than changing styles at this critical point in the season.

Something needs to, and will change. If we're talking about style as in how direct we are it probably won't change a great deal but tactically we need to be tighter at the back.
I think Megson built a team good enough to compete for promotion but based around a player we didn't own. We have less talented players than the pigs and Huddersfield but were definitely competing on their level. We lost a player key to the way we play and didn't really have a back up plan. It's possible that with Antonio coming in we may have improved but Milan didn't want to find out.
It's his money, he saved us, I don't think I can grumble too much even though I think the timing was bad.

I agree with your viewpoint hence my 'whether it's right or wrong' caveat

my point being isn't mandaric's viewpoint that the style needs to change? so that would make it less likely that he'd bring in someone to do the same things as before. I think he's abs crazy

Blades just got there against Scunny the other night. We're 1-0 down then we had a man sent off and they got a late late winner.

It could get very interesting.

Sheff Utd now have 4 away games out of the next 5. They have a couple of injuries including MacDonald in midfield who was a big influence and now have suspensions coming up with 2 sent off today.

If Wednesday, Huddersfield or MK Dons put together a run of 4 or 5 straight wins, things could look dramatically different.

Town were 3 up, threw a 2 goal lead game before too. So frustrating this team.
