First staking thread ever. Any interest in staking me for the £500 deepstack this weekend?
What:
This weekends £500+60 DTD deepstack.
About me:
I'm David Craigon. This is my first staking thread. Live tournaments are my main game, and I have a solid winning record in these, and although my sample size is not that enormous, it's difficult to play a lot of liveaments in a short period of time.
Some Results:
Super 50s: Played 39, won £8281.50, ROI 369%
50 evening comps at DTD and Genting Derby: played 36, won 1345.50, ROI 75%
DTD £300 deepstacks: Played 4, lost £744, ROI -55%
Assorted comps bigger than £50 but smaller than the £300 at DTD: Played 7, won £1336, ROI 124%
Assorted micro comps at Gala Nottingham: played 53, won £1025, ROI 76%
One offs: I won the £110 Genting Derby opening night comp (which they added £1000 to) for £4176 profit (beating Rastafish, and how many people can say that?), and came 9th in Sky Poker Tour Luton for £880 profit in Feburary.
I also finalled the first £150 deepstack at DTD- you can read about it on the live updates section of this board. My hendon mob is

These ROIs are quite nice, but I've definitely run good in my tournaments on average, so maybe take them with a pinch of salt. The good news is that the run good is included in the price of the stake.
Onlinewise I don't have accurate results to hand but, when FullTilt was still alive and kicking, I was beating the $8 and $15 90 mans, and $12 Rush tourneys. I tried 180 mans on Stars for about 100 games for an ROI of about -100% :-(.
Cashwise, I've pretty much broken even playing 0.50p/£1 live, and in online cash I couldn't beat an egg.
£500 is larger than I normally play, and the standard of this tournament will be higher than I normally encounter. I've played the £300 before, and didn't feel overwhelmed- obviously there are going to be some very good players in the field however.
Why this tournament:
DTD is my "home" venue- I am very comfortable with the surroundings and the dealers, floormen etc. all know me. I think this tournament is likely to be softer than the average £500 tournament due to DTD's excellent value satellites. I am particularly interested in playing this since DTD have guaranteed it at 500 runners. It's inaugural running attracted 292 runners, and I think they will struggle to attract that many more this time, although there is no Genting tour to compete against this time there is the normal range of other events.
Why I'd like to be staked:
I don't have the bankroll for £500 comps, and I think turning it into a £250 comp via staking makes sense for me.
How much:
I'd like to get rid of 50% (or maybe 60%) at flat (1.0), so 10% = £56. I don't have any operating costs other than shoe leather to get to DTD. I'd like to play the saturday only. I won't be playing unless I can sell at least 40%.
