yes deffo better over an hour, at least I can pause it and get a bag full of grub halfway as watching it makes me hungry every time.
Tonight's munchies consisted of a cold mince pie on a bed of greek yoghurt with some blueberries carefully dishevelled in the bowl. Eat that Monica ;o)

if there had been a different result in this episode (first semi) it would have been an absolute travesty.

This should be a Monica skills test in the final. From the out takes on the last Johnny English film. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aI2SCOIE-Co

omg! I called that! I had in my head that the speech was going to be "We've never done this before, and we're never going to do it again... you are both champions". Can't believe they actually did it though lol

I could see the logic in this, as they've both been brilliant (as has Oli for one so young).
Sophie thought it was a cop out and whinged about it, a lot!

I thought it was a great decision, maybe a bit of a cop out but both were brilliant. Felt for Oli when he used the fridge instead of the freezer but I'd still eat his food. The winners were amazing.

This is by far, my favourite tv show atm. Felt for Oli when his parfait didn't set but one mistake was enough to set him apart from Anton and Keri. I thought Anton had nicked it but I think that both of them winning was the right outcome. Might pop down to Devon and eat in Anton's restaurant before his prices go up!!!

Hated Keri with a passion. Smug as a smug thing
Hated the joint winner cop out
Hated the hour long commerical for the Fat Duck on the BBC. After about ten minutes I got that it was fun, quirky, magnificent food.
Great programme though!

I'd always wondered until now why it or Heston had never been featured on any Masterchefs that I'd seen. Thought it might be some sort of snobbery thing from the classically trained establishment, but that episode was fantastic viewing. Heston's tv shows are more about him doing the publicity stunt side of things, but this was the first time I'd seen much about the actual restaurant itself. I've added it to the bucket list, that's for sure!

The restaurant segments do start to feel a bit like they're an advertisement. That said I enjoyed the one set in the Fat Duck. I liked Tom Kerridge's pub too.
The result didn't feel like a cop out to me because I actually predicted it. I've never predicted a joint winner before as there's always been differences. But this time I just didn't see how they separated them. From the semis onwards they were both superb. In the chef's dinner round it was Oli who didn't quite deliver. Keri/Anton's food didn't attract a single criticism, and it was the same in the final. Short of tossing a coin I'm not sure what else they could do.
