Okay, answers sent. Expectations are pretty low for this one. My Grand National winner may have been before 1992 but can't think of another one and some of the others are the obvious answer cos I don't know any others. With luck, everyone will go for the unexpected ones and leave me a clear run on the favourites.

Excellent strategy - have a go at the QM and then screw up your entry. Even worse, receive a gracious pm from the QM offering a second attempt. Done, ta. It might be the difference in keeping me off the bottom, though prob not.

Oops, sorry I've done it again. I think I'll stop posting on this thread cos each one just makes things worse.

Old and confused itt! Ignore him everyone! Plenty time to get them in!

And hopefully during that time I will have done my research on some of the incredible answers the first 10 entrants have provided

As we cannot google, I can tell you now, there are 2 questions (4, & 5) which I have absolutely no idea of the answer. If I get either correct, you can disqualify me for cheating, as I don't have a clue.

What happens if I "pass" on both?

Well I would still enter judging on some of the responses I've had  Wink

I think you have 2 options:

1. Just punt on a girls name for Mambo number five
2. Listen to radio 2 for the next week and hope they say something like "who would have thought that was 16 years ago today!" 1996 was purposefully chosen as a year people could take meaningful guesses at, whilst giving those with a musical advantge chance to shine.

Finally, an incorrect answer scores you sheep +5 - so if you really dont know, then tactically you should go for the one which you believe will provide the widest spread of answers and therefore a lower sheep score

Guy,

The 2 "spoiler" Posts have been deleted at your request.

Sorry if my question caused them, it never crossed my mind that anyone would reply in that vein.

the Mambo Number 5 is a nasty, excellent question

So good, I almost had to pass but ended up with a half guess rather than get embroiled in man made material shenanigans with an expert in the field (and Guy) on quiz night, so I passed that

top marks, Guy.
