sharpleas is the same idea only it's sold commercially. mine is more generally homemade.
Why would that make a difference?

I did ponder this - but as far as I am concerned this is a "in the trade answer" - as mortar is often described as cement

I'm with cf. Skittles is a fair and correct answer. If you'd asked for a brand of vodka then he'd be screwed, but you asked for a vodka. You can get a vodka called/made out of skittles.

Amazing how sometimes the answer is in the question No. I am yet to hear a satisfactory explanation. Perfectly fine answers. QMs refusing to listen and respond to perfectly reasonable arguments. Death of the RSQ. Farce. etc.

Wrong (9)
Rag Trade - Mint - (1976 im afraid)
I know why I did that. The week before last, a guy in work said that his mother's horse had won Grand National (Lucius in 1978) and he had grown up with the horse more or less as a family pet and we were looking on the web at the list of winners round that time - Red Rum, L'Escargot, Rag Trade, Lucius...... FFS, I should have remembered why it came to mind.
