Manchester's Was Shaheed has doubled up through Jon Habley and is now nursing a slightly larger short stack of 38K.

It was 50K, until Kev Allen raised to 4k and Was made it 12K in the SB.

Matt Simpson shoved all in, Kev folded as did Was.

On the same table, Ying Lui opened for 5k.

Matt Simpson asks him how much he has, Liu says 50K.

Matt calls to see a flop of .

Liu bets 8K, Matt makes it 18K and before his chips have actually landed on the table, Liu shoves the rest of his stack over the line.

Matt asks for a count - it's still the same as it was when he asked pre flop, minus the 8k bet - Matt seems disappointed it is so much and folds.

Abdul Khan to 6,300
Jack Allen to 15,300
Abdul now makes it 24,900
Allen says "what is this"
Abdul "you can't keep bullying me man, I have to take a stand, I had KQ last time you 3bet me"
Allen "yeah and I showed AQ, it was a good laydown"
Instantly followed by the words "all in" from Allen
snap call from Abdul with
Allen has
Aces hold, Allen still on 60k
Abdul has gone from 45k at the start of the day up to 260k and possible chip leader now

Jon Hanley tells me "did you see that? I folded a flush!"
I presumed he meant preflop, but nope.
went to a flop, he hit a flush, then folded his hand face up - didn't realise he had hit a flush until he had folded it into the middle and double checked the board

I wouldn't normally try so hard, but didn't have another opportunity I could wait for. I wasn't ready to surrender what I WANTED SO MUCH, that easily, I couldn't guarantee a call with me staying stoic and relying on a flinch "top pair" calling reflex.

We clearly need a 4 colour deck in here... or players to stop wearing sunglasses
Jose Pena misreads the board, think there are 3 hearts on board and snap calls someone shove with the straight
he then realises 4 hearts are on board, and he loses to the flush... losing about 50k in the process

Jon says, in front of the whole table:

"caroline tell me what you think of this."

"I raised with 10d. I had a straight draw and flush draw on the flop and bet it big, I bet the turn big as well. On the river I bet 33K and he (Matt Simpson I think) went all in for 170K and I folded."

"Trouble was I'd actually hit my flush but I thought it was a heart on the river not a diamond. What do you think"

Diplomatically I refrained from answering what I thought, but did suggest taking the mirrored glasses off in future.

The cards are fine.

People who wear sunglasses deserve to misread their hands.
