Shrewd move from The Camel - trash-talking to drive down the price before he snaps up a bargain.

Camel
In case you didnt notice, this is a poker forum and the car plate is of poker relevance. It is worthless to those who
have no interest in it, idiots like yourself for example, however there is a market for private number plates for a
variety of reasons.
Granted you dont know me, and boy am i glad of that because you seem like a pratt, but i take on board your point
of doubt cast over the cause of me selling it. This is why i have posted that there are a number of ways it could
be done - the most credible probably would be to invite a representative of the hospice to actually do the draw.
Red Dog
Granted i can understand your point of this being the first thread i have posted, which may have cast some doubt
with the usual sceptics, however i have never really been one to bother with "forums" and it was only that
someone suggested posting it on here whilst i was talking about it during a small cash game at my local casino.
I have not got a price in mind as such, but would be looking to donate 50% of the sale price to the hospice.
The other 50% of the sale price would pretty much cover the costs that i have incurred from purchasing.

Not sure what you mean by withdrawn in the last hour ?
The only person who can sell this is myself as i have the full DVLA V750 Document (Certificate of entitlement) for this plate.

If you had 10,000 posts and made the original message I would still have taken the piss. Maybe not quite so harshly.
I am not a fan of personalised number plates you see.
Every 6 months or so a new poster comes on trying to sell one.
Not one sale yet, doubt there ever will be.
You can seee why we are sceptical, surely?

Fair point Camel
You are entitled to ridicule people trying to sell something tjat you are not a fan of, just as
much as i am entitled to irritate you with what a lot of people may see as Spam i guess.
Like allready stated it was just an idea thrown out there but fellow players whilst at the felt
to make a post on here to see what kind of interest it gets. I dont for a minute expect
anyone to actually be able to have the disposable income to fork out £5k just for a number
plate as unless they are a huge profit player then most people would not really bother, howere
given that ALL poker players are gamblers i do anticipate that most would feel it to be reasonable
to have a £50 punt on winning a plate that is actually quite "catchy" if you are into poker - given
that most poker players would think twice about putting £50 into a pot with a nut flush draw.
I have allready had an offer from the manager of my local card room to run the raffle at their event, but i figured
there isnt any harm in posting also, given that my local card room may not be the biggest of venues but it still
would return a reasonable amount IF i decide to go ahead, I am in no hurry to sell NOR am i BUSTO in case any
sceptics want to throw that in the mix too. I am employed, own my own home and see poker as an enjoyable
passtime - not that i should EVEN have to justify any of that to anyone.
See attached pic of the Certificate of entitlement - with the certificate number removed for obvious reasons.

I think he's looking to sell it for twice what he paid for it and giving the profit to the hospice.
That's how I read this post anyways.
