Can anybody tell me whats going on at Dusk till Dawn? I was planning on going down this weekend for the first ever time as a friend told me there was a UKITP £50 Freezeout (I only plat freezeouts) that had seats to the £1 million UKITP but when I looked more closely at the advertisement it actually said it was a Freezeout but with unlimited Re Entries!?! The definition of Freezeout is that you buy in and when you lose your chips you're out! that's it!, done!! that's what I love about the freezeout format it slows down the often loose players that are around at this level as going Allin with almost anything in the early stages of a tournament then just buying back in again. I'm just pleased I didn't travel the 50 miles to find this out on the day. Come on Dust till dawn, don't add confusion please. Also noticed the super 50 on Saturday says the same FREEZEOUT with 1 Re Entry? Grrrrr

Freezeout is the name of the game.. but re-entry is a 'bolt-on' to the freezeout.. allowing a freezeout to have additional entires but each entry is a freezeout entry. e.g. if you re-enter you get a new stack and new table and for you its a new tournament!
make sense?

The super 50 allows the travelling player a second crack at the pot . Let's say you travel 70 miles and get your aces busted I'n first level . I'm sure 1 more buy I'n would be better then going home . I think that's 1 rebuy is a good idea

Very much this. The re-entry is very different to a rebuy tournament. For a start, there's no add-on, so if you don't re-enter your expense is the initial buy-in, just like a traditional freezeout. However, during the first 6 levels, if you get knocked out you can re-enter as a 'new' player. This is the same as someone else arriving at that time and buying in as a late entry. The fact that they've already been knocked out of the comp is the only difference between these two players. It's an excellent idea, especially for those who have to travel a decent distance.

Surely people going bust easier due to re-entry is a good thing for the nits and freezeout snobs.

I've always liked the hole re enter thing, but I haven't always been able to manage it.

What? Sometimes my roll just isn't big enough. Poker analogies are generally pretty bad, but these two were great.
