Still some sandwich left, but it needs spicing up.
Good luck Saturday, Tom.

Tom was nailed on to have some sandwich left. Plenty of greedy buggers ate all theirs on day 1

Sorry the trip report is a bit late guys.
You see, this was the greatest tournament I have ever been involved in. The structure was as good as it gets, the venue is the best in the country, and there was over a million pounds in prize money.
I was just so excited as I drove to the club on Thursday, and when I arrived the atmosphere was electric. The place was just a heaving mass of players. Superstars, qualifiers, old sweats, young guns... Everyone was buzzing, and I remember thinking, I don't care if I never get to play the biggie in Vegas, this is my WSOP ME.
Sigh.. The trip report is a bit late because I've written three times, and three times I've deleted it.
Why did I delete it? Well I deleted it because frankly, I found that actually writing the facts down and putting them on here embarrassed me.
There is no way to say without blushing, so I'm just going to blurt it out.
I was fantastic! Never once did I put a chip into a pot when I was behind. I was rivered time and time again, but somehow I clung on. I was down to 8k before dinner on the first day, and then I passed AK on a K high board to leave myself with 4k when the flush card he had been chasing arrived. (He showed me).
I ground my 4k up to 44k, and then I was moved to Alex Martin's table. Alex was having a dick-waving contest with two Chinese guys, all had ~ 150k and were 4 & 5 betting every pot. I was trapped in the middle and couldn't play a hand.
I came back on day two with 37k. I was brimming with confidence and determined to play well.
Blinds are 800 - 1600. UTG makes it 4k. I have 10 10 and I have him covered (just).
I decide to push. There's a small chance that I'm dominated but a better chance that he will feel he has to call with an under-pair or at worst I'll be racing. I figure that most of the time he's passing.
I cant believe my luck when he snaps me with A 6.
Of course he flops the ace and it's goodnight Vienna.
To sum up, I was brilliant, and everyone else was crap.
I'm sorry, but it's true.

Brilliant!
What was your hand when he had the A-10, Tom? J-J or better, I assume?
I'm currently dieting, but horse-shit is low calorie, so I'll dine again anytime. I saved a few bob when Ratt Mussell purchased some of my meal. Then I lost it when he sold me some of his.
