Generally, I don't think it really is that important to DTD.

DTD is in the middle of a industrial park and is bang next to Nando's, so they definitely can't compete with that. I think people who are there have already made a decision on whether they are eating at DTD or not.

Usually when me and Ken come over we just either eat at Nando's, local kebab shop or some other alternative. It's just difficult to take a fancy to the menu at DTD to be fair.

Maybe not if you play there now and again, buy when your playing most nights of the week, the small menu can soon get repetative.

The daily specials is such an easy concept that sholuld have been brought in a long time ago.

Good constructive post ! Showing signs of maturity, who said first impressions are lasting ones! Its a shame i couldnt sample New Chefs mneu as didnt last long enough to make it to lunch let alone dinner yesterday.

Yesterday was the highest quality dinner break food I have had at an event ever, and I have had many tournament dinners!

To cater for 500+ with that quality was great.

Looking forward to today's three portions.

Certainly not. Don't see the Nandos attraction myself

hi chef!

last time i was at dtd i couldn't decide what to eat so was talked into getting the shredded chicken - usually i love stuff like this but have to say i wasn't that pleased with it - admitted the place was heaving (it was the day we all got snowed in at the £500) so that may of had an affect. there was hardly any chicken and the strips were to greasy for me to eat. like i said i think this may have just been a one off as everyone who was talking me into these was saying how great they were.

i would suggest keep it simple, in some cases (but not all) bite size and not to messy.

A selection of sandwiches and wraps both hot and cold - no need to get to fussy with these (my personal favourite was the chicken cesear but this seems to have disappeared).

then things like burgers, scampi, pizza, risotto, salads, maybe some sundries items from around the world like large samosas or spring rolls, sausage rolls, Cornish pasties etc.

larger meals - again keep it simple, fish and chips, Shepard's pie, fish pie, curries, bolognaise, stirfries and the like.

lastly i think that monthly specials or even seasonal is a great idea - how about winter warmers during the cold months and then have a BBQ set up outside in the warmer months.

hope this helps all this talking of food has made me hungry!

Just ordered the crispy chicken to give it a last chance. Unfortunately, it will be the last time as I got even less on the plate compared to previously. 6 pieces of chicken, and smaller than they used to be.

Shame really, as it tastes good, just too small.

Cheesy

The salad was actually adequate, the chicken element sadly wasn't.

How much does it cost?  If its c£5 then I would be fine with it (for portion), if it was £10+ I would think it was a bit skimpy.

If it is good quality and tasty, sounds acceptable to me.
