Because of his sterling community work in East London, and his performance yesterday in the Olympic park run, Gatso has been shortlisted for the team who will carry the Olympic Torch into the Olympic Stadium at the end of the Opening Ceremony

"The eyes of the world will be on London on 27 July 2012 for the Opening Ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games. The Ceremony will mark the beginning of the XXXth Olympiad. It will provide an opportunity for the world to view the artistic expression of Danny Boyle and his team, and the culture of our Host City and the UK."

Alongside the likes of Sir Steve Redgrave, David Beckham, Dame Kelly Holmes and Dame Tanni Grey-Thompson, gatso is now in the running to be the person who actually lights the Olympic flame. No doubt that is a long shot, but nevertheless is a terrific achievement.

Mayor of London Boris Johnson said

"I am delighed to annnounce the names of the six community athletes who we have chosen to be part of the team for the final legs of carrying the Olympic Torch into the stadium. It will be a memory that will live with them for ever"

Well done Gatso

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.
