Di Matteo handled Shreeves very well post match, when pressed on the suspensions he just says come on Geoff lets just enjoy the moment.

Is it right if Chelses go on to win it they get back in next season and fourth drops into the Europa league ?

wow Terry is getting a lot of heat on here.

Hes a great leader, a fantastic player and should be one of the first names on the teamsheet this summer for England.

Very much doubt 4th place gets dropped into Europa...would be grossly unfair.

Think English clubs would just get 4 places and another country (worked out on the points system EUFA have) would get the "extra place" that Chelsea "give up" as holders.

Liverpool had to have special status to be in the 2006 tournament when we finished outside the qualifiying, after winning it in 2005, so not usre if they changed the rules on holders getting an auto place?

I thought the rules had been changed after we won it in 2005 to state that the same amount of places per country stays, but the cup winners must be allowed the opportunity to defend their title, which would then mean 1 place is lost from automatic qualification.

Confirmed,

The top four teams in the Barclays Premier League qualify for the UEFA Champions League.

English winners of the UEFA Champions League finishing outside the top four places (but who qualify for the UEFA Europa League through their domestic Barclays Premier League position) go forward as Winners to the group stage along with domestic champions, runners-up and third place.

No extra domestic place can be gained by winning the UEFA Champions League, therefore the team finishing fourth drops to the UEFA Europa League.

English winners of the UEFA Champions League who do not qualify through their domestic position go forward as Winners to the group stage, with the team finishing fourth dropping to the UEFA Europa League. In this case, the national association of the title-holder is entitled to one additional place in the UEFA Europa League.

He's a crap, typically English kinda crap, player. If I'm wrong and he's good then I'd still rather he was banned from appearing for england along with other scrotes like Joey Barton et al

Really liked that Chelsea did it without him
