2 Posts about my charity poker tournament have been removed... I am breaking rules?

I thought forums like this might be supportive.... seems not... Please tell me if you remove posts, it saves an a lot of time searching for them.

Seems new comers to your club are unwelcome!

Thanks you and good bye.

assuming you posted a thread about a charity tournament from a casino mentioned in your name?

No offence but it is kinda funny to think that would be ok on this new DTD ruled BPforum.

Hopefully you'll still be able to get word out, good luck sir.

Advertising a charity event as a first post, without contacting us or even just posting to ask approval first, is the issue

We might be over-cautious, but a chequered history with charity requests on here, and from a new member too...better safe than sorry, thats all

If you are going to host it in Spain, you might want to put up a thread for dealers required

Gambling for charity never seems like a good fit anyway. Better to bake cakes for a village fete or run a long distance in a comedy animal costume imo.

I'm not sure how "charity" is defined these days, but it did not look like charity to me - it was to benefit  a local Rugby Club. It was NOT a Registered charity, thats for sure.

The entry cost was £20, & all entry monies were to go direct to the Rugby Club - after deducting from the £20 "approx £5 ish each for food, & the cost of the bar bill".

I've never understood charity poker tournaments.

If I wanted to donate to charity then I'd... donate to charity.

I'm not sure where or why poker enters the equation.

Decent effort on his website mind.

Even if it is legit I doubt anyone from here would tun up to play for a random thing like a rugby club they have never heard of. He's better off getting people from the local area who are members/family/friends of the club or at least know it.
