I'd like to replace Adam Junglen with Jason Mercier for my final sub please.

Thanks

Can I ask why you lose the points scored by the guy you are kicking out of the team. I obv understand why you don't get the points already scored by the incoming player. Ty

That's a fair question.
The substitutes rule was only introduced to avoid the situation that occurred last year where a lot of people picked Phil Ivey before he announced that he wouldn't be playing WSOP2011. It was meant to allow people to choose a new player to replace a no-show; it wasn't intended to provide people with a "tag" option where you get points for both players.
It's arguable that retaining the points may have added more spice to the competition but I decided that it would be just as much fun (and tactically challenging) for people to have to weigh up whether they wanted to sacrifice any accrued points when making a substitution.

Yes good thought. Frankenberger is right up there with the wsop leaderboards and loves showing people how good he really is by his results and titles. He will defo be giving himself every chance. I just got a reply from him and says that he intends to enter some events that he is -EV for, but as he points out there are a lot of guys who think he is -EV for any poker comp.
