Following tikay's suggestion, I have created this separate thread for a paid entry competition for this year's WSOP.

The paid entry competition will have exactly the same rules as the free competition.

To enter the paid entry competition you must submit a team for the free competition on that thread. This team will then count for both competitions.

The rules for the free competition are here:
http://blondepoker.com/forum/index.php?topic=57682.0

The paid competition will have an entry fee of £50 payable to me.
I will send bank details to everyone who has expressed an interest in the paid competition.
Entry fees must reach me by midday Sunday 27th May. No late entries will be accepted.

I will maintain a list on this thread of everyone who has entered and will provide updates as the competition progresses.

The prize structure will depend on the number of entries in the competition:

1-10 entrants
1st 100%

11-20 entrants
1st 75%
2nd 25%

21-30 entrants
1st  60%
2nd 30%
3rd 10%

>30 entrants

Last year the paid comp was a subset of the free one

I would recommend the paid one uses same groups, scoring as the free one, for simplicity of admin

its quite a long sweat so £100 is good imo, it doesn't restrict others as they can enter the first comp.

It's only good for people who can throw £100 at something and not worry. It's a sizeable amount to normal people with families etc.

I'm in obv Cheesy

We could easily run one for 20/50 and then another for us utter punters  who want more action?

I don't think we can reasonably run more than two without they all get diluted, and we must consider the administration by Vince and Tighty, too.

A sensible amount for the cash version would be £25 or £50, I would suggest.

The administration isn't a problem but your point about diluting the fields is relevant.

We seem to have reached a consensus that £50 is a good level.
I'll wait until the end of today for any dissent and then update the opening post to reflect the decision.
