John Black in a big pot...
Anon opens utg, John peels in position playing 450k
bet, John calls.
bet, John calls
bet, John allin for about a minraise more.
Anon calls reasonably quickly.
John has
.....which is good.
Great value shove from John.
lol
It is. Most people sigh call there. Rare to get paid by worse.
Haven't you just said exactly why it's a call and shoving is bad?
This ain't pha, but it was good cos he had a good read that he was in front and the guy would call with worse.
It's not PHA, correct. What's your point?
You said it was a good shove, I think calling is better.

in this exact hand obviously shoving was better with his live reads etc he made the right decision, in a vacuum it is a cal.

Black opens the button
Guy Barron 3 bets the small blind
Syed Zaidi shoves the big
Black folds
Barron has to call with
Zaidi
Sweattttttt..........
The limpet like Zaidi doubles through again, and is now in contention for a really good finish.
Go on Sir take it down.

i played with john black(for the first time) and at least 4 other top players were on my table all playing well, john was perhaps the 2nd or third best player on there, my point is even though i didnt make the end of the day it was a pleasure playing with him,
the guy is good funny and not that bad of a player.
ive played with ali mallu for years, these 2 were always gonna clash with one of them probably gonna go very very deep,
johns great for the game as is ali and another guy who made me laugh every time i thought of him is "rasta Fish" thats gotta be the best name ever,
horrible driving home for 2 hours but its the playing with these guys that makes it all worhwhile
Good luck to the rasta and the blackster and anyone else whos still in,
its a pleasure to play in the best comp in the country in the best cardroom,
