Hi All Unfortunately due to circumstances outwith their control the Glasgow Berkeley have asked that the dates for the Thistle Classic be changed to Fri 15th & Sat16th of Julyand I have agreed to this. I hope that people who have already scheduled for the previous dates are not put out by this and can reschedule to the new dates.
As a good-will gesture I have arranged with Stanley that all entrants to the competition will recieve FREE valet parking for the duration of the competition.
I'm currently negotiating special player rates with both Thistle and Premier Lodge hotels which are a couple of minutes walk from the Casino I will post these asap. If anyone has any questios or queries I'll do my best to give them a quick and accurate answer.
I can assure everyone that these dates are final and hope to see you there.
Be Lucky CoolBlonde

first can i suggest now there is 4 weeks to the event that you run some sats and supersats both online and off as you now have time
with 200 spots for this event open you might find it hard to fill espically with all the touring pros from europe and uk in vegas
the fact the thistle doesnt have regular weekly games also means it hasb't a client base to draw from
last year i was in glasgow for a festival at the riverboat which has a regualr trade in poker players
and also had touring pros atending, no event sold out with a capicity of 100
so in order to make sure this event is a sucess please think about getting some sats up and running
2nd i asked this on the last thread the event is "sponsored" by worldofpoker can i ask what sponsorship worldofpoker is bringing to the event will it be in the style of william hills @ gutshot where they added 25% top the pool or will it be the usaul we will plaster our name everywhere give out a free pen and other worthless goodies (t-shirts etc) that we usually get in a "sponsorship"

They may even reduce the fee to 1% if you're prepared to pay that much...

10%+ added to the prize pool, if a comp has a sponsor let the sponor put money into where it matters and not the casinos pockets. ps i will still be there even if you put 0 into the pot but dont expect me to pay any attention to the free luncheon meat pens and t-shirts

From the original thread: Added prizes: Final woman (if not in last 20) 500. And I have a 500 bounty on my head.
