Rich Stevenson (WarBwastard) - Gone But Unlikely To Be Forgotten!
«

Regular readers of Rich's blog may already know, but for those that aren't... unfortunately Rich passed away during the week.
As you might expect, he had prepared for the occasion and the announcement is on his blog -

Not being rude, but is this really true? If so, I'm devastated to hear that.

Rich was active on blonde very recently, notably on "Tips for tikay" where his writing and humour shone through
He, being very poorly for a considerable time, had prepared for the occasion and the announcement is on his blog -

Well, he had a pretty dark sense of humour, but I don't think even he would falsely announce his own death.
As you may, or may not know, he had Cystic Fibrosis. He had been pretty poorly for some time now, being permanently tethered to an oxygen cylinder for last few months.

No, I was not aware of any of that.
We started "chatting" (online) a fair bit quite recenty, & I commented several times on blonde about how wonderfully he wrote, he was a true genius with the pen, & I linked his blog all over the place, on here, Twitter etc to help bring his incredible writing to a wider audience.
I'm mortified that I was unaware of his serious illness, & that he has now passed on, & I hope my "is this really true?" was taken as intended, it was my gut reaction to something that really shocked me.
If I understand it all correctly, he is now in a better place, at peace, & free from his pain & suffering. For that, praise be.
RIP.
