I didn't know him personally, although his user name always intrigued me, but reading his final blog and video make me wish I had.

RIP.

I recently asked him about his rather odd alias, and he explained it to me in his own inimitable style. When I get on a proper computer, I'll look it out for you. Think it referred to Robot Wars or something similar.

Rich was interviewed by Blandie at the Vic for the WCOAP nearly four years ago

Very dry humour!

Such sad sad news!

Makes a lot of other things that are happening at the min seem very unimportant and trivial.

Thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

I first met Rich when we shared a table at my first APAT at Newcastle in 2006. I'd be lying if I said I noticed his humour & wit then but subsequently, when introduced to his blog, the intelligence and humour was stunning.

It's said all the time but this really is a sad loss. RIP Sheriff.

Top Top Bloke.

Met him a few times on the APAT Tour and via Blonde.
His last post on Blonde was in a thread i created and he mentioned his love for Napoli.
Napoli won the Italian Cup Sunday Past.

Hope you enjoyed it fella.
RIP WarBwastard (Rich).

Awesome Guy.

Great bloke, great mind. Will be missed and thoughts are with his family and friends - particularly Alan.

I never met him but always thought he was a young guy with his writing style and absolutely used to love his posts.

I am truly shocked.

RIP.

I also had the fortune of sharing some time with Rich at Apat tourneys. Wonderfully dry wit, an astonishingly clever individual.

RIP sir,
