I've only been to one baseball game, at Yankee Stadium, and it finished 1-0, with the run in the top of the first, which we missed while looking for our seats. We didn't even know it was 1-0 til about the seventh innings. Though we might be there all night. Really enjoyed it still tho, drunk the beer seller dry, ate a hotdog longer than my forearm and we managed to introduce some football style chants to the locals. Mariano Rivera was playing for the Yankees, so with a bot of research, he became "Rivera, woah-oh-oh-oh, Rivera, woah-oh-oh-oh, he comes from Panama, he hits the ball dead far". Think he was a pitcher tho. Knoblauch was our fave but harder to get a song going about him

God, I wish I could play these shootouts every day.

This is the third time I've played it, on the last two occasions I got heads up on my first table with the chip lead and lost both times. Once I played terribly but last year I got ridiculously unlucky.

This year I made it!

My table was great. There were four guys who were at least 50/1 to win the table.

I won one pot in the first 3 hours, but that wasn't so bad, seeing as I only played 2.

Then found KK in the bb, made a small reraise to the buttons raise and he shoved with the bobbies. Jack in the window Sad King on the river.

Slow played aces shortly afterwards v Jacks on a nine high board. And he commited harikiri. Anotherf ull double up.

From then on it was plain sailing. The others knocked each other out at regilar intervals until it got heads up.

The geezer I was playing seemed pretty useful, but had no clue heads up. I just raised every button and he folded or call/folded.

Think we had one showdown in an hour playing heads up.

Then at 40 - 5 up got it with 9Ts v K9o. I flopped 678. But he rivered a ten for a chop.

Next hand he shoved the button with T7s. I called with KQ. And flopped trips.

Obviously tomorrow (round 2) is going to be a lot harder. But really happy with getting through and pocketting over 5 bags.

1% chance of winning 300 large!

A good time to use my one time I've being keeping in a box for so long?

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.
