Messaged Eric Baldwin on Twitter. Finished for the day. He didn't count exactly but he reckons The Camel had about the same as him. Both make day two with 75,000, average is about 48,000.
Is Eric Baldwin the ex Baseball bloke?
That's the fella. Basebaldy. Used to be with UltimateBet. Apparently from Beaver Dam, Wisconsin.

Ahh, thought so, I happened to engage in convo with him one day last week, & liked him.
Wisconsin? I always ask my Table companions in Vegas where they are from, & follow up with "is that in Wisconsin?" Get some really weird looks from the American sorts. Gets them talking though, which is the whole point. People are precious about their hometown, just as they are about the correct spelling of their name.

Looks as though you have a decent table today for starters Keith.
No names that I recognise as world-beaters anyhow.
Go get 'em tiger.

The Good
Not sure if I should post this hand - it is one of favourite moves but unfortunately I rarely get the chance to use it as conditions have to be perfect for it to work as well as this, but my immodesty dictates that a hand about which Eric Baldwin said "Well played. You took literally the only line which got you a full double up" has to be revealed.
300-600/75
I have approx 28k. Eric Baldwin has me covered easily.
Very loose aggro player in mp for 1500. I call in the sb with KJo, Basebaldy calls in the bb.
Flop KJ3 rainbow.
Checked around.
Turn another jack making 4 spades.
I bet 1200. Baldwin makes it 3400. Opener passes. I call.
I check in the dark.
Baldwin bets 8500, I shove. He calls with AK.
Full double up.
The Bad
Really still not sure about this hand.
It was a little earlier than the previous hand, I had approx 32k at 250-500/75
I open for 1100 with AKs
Baldwin makes it 3300 otb.
Now the sb passes but accidentally flips over a king as he does so.
BB is Joe Serock and he now makes it 8500.
We should??
I folded. But still not sure of the decision.
The Ugly
I butchered this hand so badly I am almost embarrassed to post it. I'm not going to post my thought process, because it was so faulty.
The main villain in the hand was a really unorthodox player. He could show up with any two cards at any time. Very very difficult to read.
The other villain is Fabrice Soulier.
Blinds are 400-800/100 I have approx 45k
Fabsoul has about the same as me and loosey goosey has about 90k.
Soulier opens for 1600 in ep. LG calls on the button and I call in the small blind with 99.
Flop K95 with two spades.
I check, FS checks. LG bets 2500. We both call.
Turn card is an off suit 6.
I lead out for 4200. FS calls. LG min raises.
I call ?!?!?!?!? As does Soulier.
River is an offsuit 8. Checks to LG who bets 11000
I call leaving about 8000. Soulier tank folds and flashes a King.
LG shows 56 for two pair and I win it.
Horrible.
Overall very happy with my play - especially on my first table.
I didn't adjust too well to my second table the weren't the sort of guys to be pushed around and I made some questionable plays - but we are still around to tell the tale!

Have a great time Camel. Really rooting for you Sir.
Barney was the just the appetiser as far as experienced UK live players have to offer the WSOP.
I follow all the blondes in Vegas every day online but you are the main man for me.
Cheers mate.
Not sure what having a bookie rooting for me does for my rep.
But I'll take it

Nice one, hope you ship as I have a small bit.
First hand you put rainbow but 4 spades on the turn? I'm guessing u mean 2 spades on the flop and u ship the river praying for a call with somebody who has As?

No.
It was rainbow on the flop, flush draw came on the turn.
I checked in the dark trusting he put me on a draw and it didn't come so he thinks I'm check shoving a busted draw.
