Does anyone know where I can get hold of one of these cheap? We've had one for years and keep meaning to get a better one but have never got round to it. Today it has died so we can't transfer the footage from the current cassette on to a VHS. This cassette has our son's first words/steps on so this is a Bad Thing.

Alternatively, does anyone know of anywhere that would transfer from the cassette to VHS/DVD, or any other solution?

Thanks very much for any help.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Panasonic-NV-GS1-Digital-Video-Camera-Silver-USED-No-Reserve-/330743776076?pt=UK_AudioTVElectronics_Video_Camcorders&hash=item4d01dd834c

Or.. buy a better camcorder and meantime type video to dvd into any search engine - lots of places offer the service and pretty much all of them will have the capacity to work with most varieties of tape size

Sorry for late reply, and thanks for the post. Ebay ones are going for far too much at the moment and have Googled so have found some companies, so that might be the way we go. Or just wait until we get lucky with a cheap one on ebay.
