You misunderstand the term "variance" completely.

"Variance" is what we suffer when we lose, it is the fault of variance. When we win, it's down to our skill. At least, that's how it seems to work in poker.

I actually need a latte AND a nap, to be honest.....

That is SO spooky.

I'm midway through Latte # 2 (07.40am here) & once I get to Latte # 3, I start lose that grumpy & difficult edge that I sometimes have first thing in the morning.

However, yesterday, I visited the place below, in Fremont Street, Downtown Vegas, & it took me back 8 years.

You, John McGrane, John's missus & 2 kids, & myself, supped coffee & had a sticky bun there, John then went on to finish 18th in the WSOP Main Event for north of $300,000.

Happy memories. I'm almost cheerful now.
