For those of us in faraway paces, with no TV coverage, what happened?.......
I backed a winner, perhaps?
Jockey stopped riding before the line and won by a nose.

Luke Nolan eased her off with 100 yards or less to go. Had 2 on the inside that came up on her like a train. Nolan realised with 5 strides left and she kicked on and won on a photo. Literally a nose in it

wow, either the jocks balls are massive or that was almost the worst day of his life.
When the jockey dismounts watch for a massive brown patch on his trousers. Extra Persil in the washing up for him 2morrow for sure

Spot the story on the Australian website which was clearly written in advance. The queen of Australian racing, Black Caviar, has produced yet another dazzling display to win the Diamond Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot.
It is the crowning achievement of a record-breaking career that now stands at 22 starts without defeat, for 12 Group Ones and total prize money of $6.3 million.
The sell-out Ascot crowd of 80,000 roared as the gates opened, and their cheers reached fever pitch as Australia's champion powered to the line under Luke Nolen.
The victory at racing's most glamorous setting was the result of more than a year's meticulous planning by trainer Peter Moody and his staff.
It is just rewards for Black Caviar's owners who were determined to see their great mare showcase her unique talent on the world stage.
Around 10,000 Australians were at Ascot to witness history, while tens of thousands more bleary-eyed fans back home stayed up beyond midnight to watch on television.
Black Caviar's performance capped off a wonderful five days of racing and bookends the royal meeting with the remarkable win of Frankel on the opening day.
There has been some talk that Black Caviar could stay in England and contest the July Cup (1,200m) at Newmarket.
Moody, however, is more likely to pull the pin and return home and target the Manikato Stakes on Cox Plate eve and a third Patinack Classic in November.
Then, there is the chance Black Caviar will be on a plane to Hong Kong to contest December's final leg of the Global Sprint Challenge and the prospect of a $1 million winning bonus.

I'm moving through the field smoothly now, on the bridle. Piggott would be proud of me.
