Pretty depressing day yesterday. After busting day 2 of the Venetian, I waddled over to the rio to play some 5/10.
Things started well. In Vegas, the done thing with aces is limp re-raise. It's a disease that they have all caught I think, but this time, I had the antidote!
Guy limps utg, sb limps and I have dem Aces in the BB and make it $85 to go. Now mr utg makes it $245, so he's either got kings or is repping the disease. I make it $645 and he peels. Flop comes AJ8 with two hearts. Although I obv flop the nuts, he's gonna have a tough time repping aces now if that was his plan. I Cbet $325, and me tank raises to $1050 with like $700 behind. Really wanted to flat but would look ridic so I jammed and he folded. Finally off to a good start! Didn't last long.
Without wanting to sound like Belton, got 2 outered in $5k pot stato mentioned, had the second best hand in a bunch of other spots and was doing ~$3k.
Linton arrived fresh from the airport and along with stato, Alex and Keith we went for dinner at PF Changs in PH. Was pretty decent. Stopped off at the pleasure pit on the way back to the rio for another desperate attempt at a winning session...
