End of the day twitter round up

Neil Channing ‏@SenseiChanning

Made 5 normal opens all day & got 3-bet 5 times. 2 shoves in last hour since the AK double. 2nd was squeeze shove with AQ. 10s snapped. OUT.

Rhys Jones ‏@floppinhel

Finished the day 2 with 137,400. Return midday Thursday at 800/1600/200. Today could have gone better but im happy.

Sam Razavi ‏@Sam_Razavi

Man lost his mind and got it in pre for 60k pot with Q9 vs my QK. Of course he won. Thanks for the support everyone, til next year!

Victoria Coren ‏@VictoriaCoren

Well that, I would say, is an imperfect finish. Last hand of the day, re-raise all in with 99...

Victoria Coren ‏@VictoriaCoren

...my opponent has QQ and 7000 chips less than me! So I'm through to Day 3 but with four big blinds.

Craig McCorkell ‏@CraigMcCorkell

Finished day 2 with 230k, day off tomorrow #wsopmainevent

Dave Jones ‏@LeKnave

Ran it to 115k in the last level, but bricked the nfd after barrelling, and then an ill timed river raise leaves me with 66,800.

Please post more Brit news or chip counts if you see or hear of them, ty

What is the average atm?

No idea Keith, not sure how to check, either. We are 3 levels into Day 2a, (which comes from 1a & 1b) & 2b (comes from 1c) is tomorrow.

Starting stack is 30,000, & in Days 1a, b & c, approx 65% of the field fell.

No idea how many players have fallen by the wayside today, either. Guess 60% (of 2a) or so will perish today?

At start of play today, I would estimate average as somewhere around 50,000.

Short version. I have no idea.

Following the Main Event from home is terrible.

It's like listening to the Grand National on the radio.. you have no idea whether the horse you've backed has fallen and the commentator has missed it or it's cruising in behind the leaders with a double handful!

Relying on tweets, and if the players you are following don't tweet for 90 minutes you automatically assume the worst!

I can imagine.

It gets worse in the last 2 levels of the day, as players i-phone batteries die. I had about 10 people ask me to charge their phones towards the end of play last night. Obv, Channing got priority, as he talks most.

Tell the boys to get themselves like this...   http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004GGU8SS/ref=oh_details_o05_s00_i00

Gives you 1-1.5 extra charges..essential for #myiphonechewsbatterylife

Someone please C&P my hand from twitter on here it's golden

I'm not one for HH but this is golden. Tight guy opens EP 1800 I flat QQ mp HU flop, Q83r he 2200 I call, turn 2 him 5300 me 13k he calls

river J he check tank calls 24k, then gets a penalty for not raising....not sure if I'm ecstatic or tilted

Lol last year beginning day 3 a woman check called my pot bet with the nut straight vs my 2nd nut straight no flush possible. Love the main event

There was a hand a couple of years ago.

Level one board was 789 two clubs.

Betting went ballistic. Guy open folded JT hh against two allins.

On their backs, one had 67 the other one top set!

He got a penalty for not raising. I can't think of any other scenario where that would happen.

This is the list of people I think are Brits based on the information in:

http://www.wsop.com/pdfs/reports/12161%5C2012WSOP_EV61_EOD2A-2B%28chips%29.pdf

Some may be from Guatemala.
Leo Margets is Spanish
Not too sure about Dmytro Nemyrovskyi or Pratik Ghatge either!
The rest might be "genuine" though.

tikays blog stopped after day 1b or am i blind?

No, I just got overwhelmed with work & some other issues which diverted me.

The Day 1c Blog is complete, bar a bit of tidying up, be up in an hour or so I hope, the Day 2a Blog will follow shortly thereafter, unless I get diverted again today by other matters.
