Yes, I do, or, to be more correct, I know who the person(s) claiming to be "Angela Burberry" are. It's all fairly transparent stuff, & the agenda is self-evident.

Bizarrely, until recently, the photos purporting to be of Miss B were actually of a lady called Sonia Tatar, she of Arsene Wenger fame.

I'd be surprised if any folks are taken in by the whole thing, or take it seriously, bar the regular trolls & disgruntleds. (is that a word?).

You'd be quite surprised how much of this sort of stuff goes off on Facebook, against Sky Poker, & me, & I just ignore it these days, lifes too short. I used to get upset about it, even discussed it on here, & wiser counsel than me (thanks, Jakally & Co) said "ignore, rise above it", & they were right. In this case, I hasten to add, I have escsaped mockery & abuse in this one, or at least, I have so far!

You are not the first person to ask the question, either, not by a long chalk, & in fact we removed a thread raising the question a day or two ago, because I just don't wanna stoke any fires, or get involved in it all.

However, the questions on blonde are, I believe, innocent & well-intended, so now you know the score.

I hope you understand, but I don't plan to take any more questions on the subject, though I suppose peeps can speculate all they want, within the Forum rules. If it gets OTT, of course, the Mods will act as they see fit.

I've changed my whole lifestyle of late, as you may or may not have noticed. I'm incredibly happy, & fulfilled, life is good, but I'm approaching the wrong end of the book, so I made a conscious decision a while back to stay away from forum & Facebook aggro, here & elsewhere, & I plan to try & keep it that way. I've also been trying to mend a few fences lately, it's hard to explain, but you reach a certain age, & just want to be pour water, not petrol, on fires. 

Hope you & the family are all well, & you make Vegas next year - this year has been awesome, & I'm seriously thinking about returning in November for a week or 10 days.

Rupert got ripped to pieces on the 2p2 thread, interesting to note the differences in tone and opinions between the 2 threads. Have to say my own view is a lot more in line with 2p2 than blonde on this whole situation, which is rare.

If the roles had been reversed, Rupert would do virtually anything to get his money.

Lewis obviously judged this was the best moment to post in order to get his money. Rupert should have respected that.

Well firstly there is absolutely no way the swap would have been ambiguous with me. I've met Marc and you need to spell things out to him. He's sick at poker but you need to be really clear with him. That was apparent to me within 20 seconds of meeting him and he started blathering on about some hand. I told him multiple times during Berlin what to do in the event of a big cash. I got paid €20k cash the same day (nice scam Marc).

I've had to do this once before and I instantly got paid: I sent a facebook message saying if you don't pay me this week I'm going to have to make a thread on 2+2 warning about you. People in poker, especially in the UK I've found, are notoriously slow at paying debts. I always do everything to pay immediately but there are a lot of players that aren't like this. Marc clearly has never been a fast payer.

I am pretty sure Marc never set about scamming Lewis. It was clearly a misunderstanding which Marc predictably handled terribly. With people like Marc I think it just takes a lot of repetition and a lot of patience. Lewis was pretty damn cordial on skype. If he was really upset about it he should have said that rather than trying to get Marc to infer that. "Marc we need to sort this out right now, you owe me for 5% of Berlin and I know you don't think that. I really don't want to have to dig up skype logs and make a post on 2+2 so lets just close this up" vs "sigh ok i'll wait some more"

That all said my post was certainly unwarranted and should have kept my irritation private (not just to stop myself looking stupid). So I am sorry for attacking the timing of your post Lewis, I realise now that it is absolutely your prerogative when if at all to post even if I don't agree that that is the best collection method.

Most people aren't like you though.

British people are notoriously casual and embarrassed about money matters, especially asking for a debt to be paid.

I can quite see how Lewis let it go on this long, and was getting extremely tilted by all the adortory posts Marc was getting.

He wanted to make sure he got his cash in the event Marc cashed in the Main Event.

FWIW I don't think Marc sets out to scam anyone. I think he has a sickness.

In fact, I would say the vast majority of "scammers" don't set out to scam, they are simply addicted gamblers who lose any money that comes into their pockets.

I'm sure you'll be at the payout window when Marc busts this tournament!
