This is something a bit special. If it doesn't leave you with a smile on your face, nothing will:

How chess should be played IMO.
Love the live pieces. Also like those damsels....

I definitely want a set like that for my garden.
I did once play a game on some large pieces in Solihull town centre. That was fun. Plenty of spectators and I managed to luckbox the win

Yes, I've played a game on a patio chess set once at a country house somewhere. Great fun, and the game looks very different to playing on a normal set. In fact, I really struggle playing on boards with 'weird' pieces - such as the Isle of Lewis sets, etc.

Part two of the Pal Benko article, featuring some pics and a couple of bits and bobs:

White to play and deliver mate in 3 moves, anyone?

Apparently, this puzzle was part of a prop bet Benko set to Bobby Fischer. Fischer lost, as he couldn't get the answer in an agreed time.
I haven't found it, either
Something to keep you occupied on the loo, perhaps?

Lol, this is possible? Presumably we decide for ourselves where the black king moves?

It's against any defence, so find the best move for the Black king every time.

Come on then. You can either post it ITT or PM me.
Either way, you're better than Fischer
