Doesn't help you in this case but write your ITIN number on the inside of the back cover of your passport so you have it on hand when cashing out

ORRRRRR... store it as a contact in your phone??

That was my first thought as well

I think the main lesson to be learned isn't about ITIN numbers though - it's more, don't play at the Golden Nugget as they don't seem to want any business off of overseas players

I think its more likely that the staff guy would've sorted it for a $20 tip as that seemed to grease the wheels at the Nugget a lot (to be fair they were very welcoming during the Grand Series to us foreigners, showing footy on screens etc).

Yup, I heard that they even put the names of Brit winners on a lovely Leader Board.

Sure would have.....

As it was obviously gonna be about 4k they took, I suggested to old Clark Kent in the Nugget cardroom for a $50 they could just give him a number and his response was 'No we don't do that here, it has to be done the proper way and he can claim it back later'

I've got one from 2006 the woman at the Rio sorted out, but I can't remember it. The first thing I'll be doing next year is getting one from Bellagio or Palazzo before I start playing. Given how this year went more likely than not I won't need it, but better to be safe than sorry Smiley

I presume it will be easier to get another number as opposed to finding out the one I used before?

When I chopped one at the Nugget in 2009 they just weighed us all in and there was no talk of ITINs or the like anyway, so quite confused as to what's caused them to get all jobsworth this year.......

You seen how often these kids lose their phones? Only just more often than they lose passports

My orange phone backs up my contacts to their server, worth doing that if your provider offers that service.

I wouldn't trust orange with my sweetie wrappers. Wankers.

You can't get a number unless you have a cash more than $5k.  Most of the bigger venues will fill in the form for you and you won't get any deduction, if you have your passport.  The number is meant to be posted out to you later (tho I never got mine when I cashed ,<thin>)
