A fantastic season as we crowned a first time champion in the form of sharplea who has been so close on a number of occasions. He had to fight off a strong challenge from Rubbish2407 who lost out via a tie-break and it was super close with sharplea just one closer with his guess. TightEnd recorded his joint lowest score of all time with 11 to give him 3rd place whilst Tal scored 10 to maintain his Premier League status. Unfortunately, horseplayer was unable to submit his answers and the 7 time champion suffered relegation whilst bryceland was unfortunate to be relegated on a tie-break.

In the Championship, Waz1892 scored a impressive 11 to win the league and is joined in promotion by Ruud who has made an impressive move up the ranks. Alverton yoyo-ing finally stopped as his 9 points weren't enough this season. elstitchio and stribling weren't on their best form and were relegated.

League One was won by Toasty92 who topped the league with 9 points and maldini32's 7 points were enough to join him in the Championship next season.

The Manager of TightEnd United was nervous. The owner and the fans had become used to success and whilst every year did not bring a trophy, he was always there or thereabouts

Not now though, and the media was questioning whether this was the start of a slump, or merely a hiccup. The situation was exacerbated when the manager inexplicably dropped star quiz striker Fernando Only Connect Torres for a crucial season and ended up finishing thrid not only behind Sharplea Athletic but Rubbish County.

The absence of Horseplayer City did not assuage the doubts of both owner and fans

Sat in his office deep in the bowels of the Celebrity Mastermind Stadium, TightEnd United's manager took a huge drag from his Cuban Cigar and jiggled the ice in his Glenfiddich.

It was to be a crucial meeting with Roman Pointless Abramovich, but he was to come out fighting. He was not to be the 45th managerial quiz casualty under his ownership.

If it meant restoring Torres to the picture rounds despite his inability to establish that there was a Finnish defender in an identity parade made up otherwise completely  line up of Togolese strikers, then this he would have to do. Just realise I got the tie break spot on. That was quite sick. My football history is pretty poor so it was a guess that Chelsea had been in the top flight in the 30s and so on.
