RedZone sucks imo.

I love it.  Eagles game on GamePass (which is the one I'm watching constantly), fantasy league matches updating in real time on the screen, and Red Zone coverage to see all the big plays as they happen.

Statement from NFL UK regarding UK TV rights for the 2012/13 season

Saturday 1st September

“With the new NFL season kicking off next week, we fully understand the concerns of our fans that the full UK broadcast line-up for the new season has not yet been announced, beyond the new Channel 4 agreement for Sunday Night Football and the existing deal with BBC TV for Super Bowl and Wembley/playoff highlights.

“We have been in negotiations for some time to extend our broadcasting agreements for this season and will announce the full package for the 2012 season as soon as possible.

“However, it is possible that this may not be before Tuesday at the earliest. Thank you for your support and patience.”

Complete joke.

They make all these big promises and plans about turning the NFL into a global brand and can't work out a simple tv deal in one of the target audiences.

Stupid question of the year...much of the commentary we get is Fox, which is owned by Murdoch, as is a good chunk of BSkyB. Why so much trouble?

Is it just because it's the NFL dictating terms?

And ESPN own rights to MNF.

Yet it look like we aren't going to see that either.

The deal is with the NFL not the tv stations in the USA. The deal in the us is split differently to elsewhere in the world. Fox have the NFC deal for Sunday games (1pm and 4pm et games) so that is why we see a lot of fox games on sky.

For example my Dad (big NFL fan) lives in Bulgaria and ESPN america have every game irrespective of day/time.

Tampa should be much improved. Last year was an extremely dysfunctional team, and they have upgraded in talent through draft and free agency

Unlikely to be play off contenders though, still very young and still need to rebuild further. Particularly unconvinced of Josh Johnson at QB

Think of them in terms of Carolina last year. Drafting a Newton though really does give a rebuilding franchise a huge shortcut. Tampa don't have that yet

I have them a 7-9 type of team at best, and whilst week one spreads are just impossible to properly analyse, and a bookies benefit, I would expect Carolina to win the game

Dean

If you want ready reckoners for each team in the early weeks of the season, this site is indispensable

http://www.profootballfocus.com/

looks at each team, anlayses every pre-season game etc etc

Might give you an edge. Frankly the spreads for week one are pure guesswork!

Cheers tighty... Just the game caught my eye in an early peruse... Big fan of Newton and panthers looked to have upgraded a bit as well.. Just Tampa were woeful last year and early looks don't look particulary promising..but as u say guessing game this early
