like the unders on points, and texans -9  cushing should prob have sanchez/tebow on their bums for the most of it, reckon 28-10 ish

Mentioned and took -8 yesterday..obv me and the rest of the mug punters have pushed it out a further point..no? Fwiw most here didn't like -8.. But NFL can be very tough to call...Miami cost me a 6 fold yesterday v the high flying bengals

Dolphins massively improving was a brave bet....

Amazing post-game interview from KC OT Eric Winston reacting to the KC fans cheering when Matt Cassell got knocked out.

http://houston.cbslocal.com/2012/10/08/eric-winston-disgusted-with-chiefs-fans/

There's a shorter video clip on YouTube, but it's worth listening to the whole thing, as there's a bit at the start where he says he'll never do another interview if this didn't get reported.

Considering how soon after the game this was, I think this is incredibly measured and restrained when his emotions are running so high.

And for the more downmarket crowd, there's another fake QB Facebook conversation (beware, contains rude words!)

First of the Jags London NFL games announced next year: 49ers

49ers is a great pick. Hope the game isn't too one sided!

I'm surprised the NFL isn't sending teams like the Panthers or the Lions over; someone with a big passing game.

NFL fans will follow either way, but a big Passing O will be much more marketable to the neutrals and future fans of NFL than a solid, albeit very well organised, running game. QB running 1,000 yards a season helps, too!

The drama of the Hail Mary, the huge interceptions and the spread fields are much easier on the eye IMO.

Yes, I love them both and the 9-6 D-slugs but Goodell is trying to sell a sport to a sport-loving nation.

Obv it's down to the schedules, but the point I'm making is more about the sort of team available to watch.

49ers have a big UK fan base (likewise Bears, Dolphins) as they were huge when first started in the UK NFL (Montana, Young, Rice etc)

so with the Jags being a small franchise, without a UK fan base, it makes sense to bring a UK marquee name over.......

Obv it's down to the schedules, but the point I'm making is more about the sort of team available to watch.

They're limited to a degree by the fact that many of the bigger franchises have refused to give up a home game, which is why the home team has been the likes of the Bucs, Rams and Jags.

They then have to find a fixture from that team's schedule, which varies from year to year.

49ers make sense as they'll draw a big following like the Bears did last year.  The neutrals will respond more to this than the style of play of a team.

The biggest drawback is if the fixture looks like it'll be one-sided, like this one but it's hard to avoid that with the current Jags team anyway!

Any interest in seeing Pats v Rams at Wembley on 28th Oct?  Wouldn't mind going, but looks like tickets are sold out awaiting allocation returns for more availability?

Anyone going?

Anyone have a spare ticket?

Anyone interested in going if tickets get released?

I potentially have a spare ticket.  Waiting for confirmation on whether we have a drop out or not.

MIN @ WAS only Bwin have priced it up so far and go MIN +3 5/6 and WAS -3 Evs

I'm still learning my way on NFL, trying to price up games in advance and had this as a pickem game.  Vikings seem to be playing better than anyone expected, thinking of having a decent paddle on the ML.

I hope this works, although I'm starting to question the Defence if they failed during the entire week!

Michael Vick carries football all week to fight fumbles

The issue of ball security has haunted Michael Vick this season. He's taking extreme measures in an attempt to fix the problem.

According to NFL.com and NFL Network's Aditi Kinkhabawala, Vick carried a football with him all week at Philadelphia Eagles facilities, tucking it under his arm at breakfast, in meetings, anywhere a teammate could attempt to knock it loose.

Did anyone force a fumble in the cafeteria or elsewhere?

"They tried," he said.

Vick has eight fumbles -- five of them lost -- in five games. Ball security can be as mental as it is physical, and Vick certainly seems to be fighting it right now.

"Not to put too much emphasis on it, but to continuously remind myself that I have to take care of the football," Vick said. "You want to go out there and make it happen."

Carrying a football everywhere might sound like something a junior-varsity quarterback would do in the hallways, but give Vick points for effort.
