this game is dire

Can't understand why the NFL decides to let Chicago near a national game.

Big market team who is contender this year against in division rival, drew 5 times the audience game 7 national league championship baseball did.

Certainly haven't seen a team play worse than this so far this year, really embarassing for the Vikings.

How come the Panthers are so bad this year? They get a record breaking QB in place and seem like they are capable of scoring points against anyone. Then now they are 1-6, making reasonable yards but Steve Smith is without a TD.

Is Newton to blame?

Partly, he's lost a lot of confidence and seems more mentally fragile than a top QB needs to be. Also after a season all the opposition have a lot of tape on him, and can plan against him better

that said, he needs better protection, better coaching and more weapons. Oh, and the defense is well below league average

There's been question marks raised about his attitude too, some publicly from his own teammates.  IIRC, there were some doubts along these lines when he was drafted but his rookie season laid these to rest, or so everyone thought.

Panthers have been a massive disappointment this season, and their GM has now paid the price for this.  Hopefully, Newton can get his head sorted and return to his best form for them, as he makes for great viewing when he's firing on all cylinders.

Just thought I would mention that the Miami dolphins have won more games than they have lost so far this nfl season.

Thing is we have been unlucky as well, 0/2 in OT which are obviously pretty much flips. Pretty impressive as well that Matt More can come in and crush the Jets in NY.

I just enjoy seeing the Jets getting beaten.

Yeah we could be 6-1 which is ridiculous. We are also have a chance in each of our next 4 games, whatever happens I am hoping this is not another false dawn and tannehill/philbin are as good as I am starting to think they might be.

The jets are a sinking ship, Sanchez is a joke he might be worse now than he was a rookie.
