Anyone who doesn't think the pats should be faves can have any team vs them in a last longer with me

I will take the 49ers for a monkey with proviso both must make playoffs

You can have the 49ers but its not conditional i'm afraid, if both fail to make the playoffs then the bet would be a wash

Apologies if you've all seen all these before. Made me smile.

Brady deal seems to be a big boost to the Pats

Is Brady signing on for such a low salary because it gives him a better chance of winning and he doesnt need/care any more money?

Yes roughly that it seems, by taking less than he is worth he gives the team more cap room to upgrade in other areas and gives them a better chance of winning

He wants his team to win

His deal gives the team 13m back against the cap each of the next two years and allows them to be major players in free agency

ALL the money in his deal is guaranteed, and takes him through to age 40

His combined income for himself and Giselle allows him to be "generous"

Quite interesting really, half the comments suggests he's a selfless team player, half saying he's got a over-generous raise!

In that respect, probably a prettygood deal for him and the team

Chiefs trade for the 49ers for Alex Smith

Chiefs now take best player available in the draft with the first pick and hope to turn round quickly, albeit Alex Smith is a bus driver QB rather than a real marquee talent

It is for a second round pick

the 49ers now have picks 31,34 and 61 in a draft with no superstars and a lot of depth

They also have 13 picks for this draft, so can move around in trades to get the player(s) they want

Already with a SuperBowl roster, and no salary cap trouble (CKaep, Aldon Smith both in rookie deals etc), they are set up in great shape to win for a few years yet

Seahawks get Percy Harvin from Minn for 3 draft picks including a 1

49ers trade for Boldin from Ravens for a 6th. Boldin refused to take a pay cut at the Ravens, and the low price reflects their only alternative to cutting him

The agent of Reggie Bush continues to do amazing work, Lions taken him to not be a running back for them on a 4 year deal.

Pats lose Wes Welker to Denver and do replace him with Danny Amendola

I have just noticed this.....still wanna do it?  Understand if not because of trades but feel bad I didn't respond.
