Thigh just busted to Trigg in 4th, Trigg has the world and is almost a lock to win.

He made a very odd call to bust Tom, bvb he raised, Tom shoved 30bbs with QQ and Trigg called A9o and got there.

it was 25bb, and he'd been playing like a lunatic, how is this an odd call 4 handed?

It was 1.1M @ 20k/40k.

Online MTT grinder mate of mine ran through what i should be shoving. Apparently I should be shoving ATs+ AJo+ and 88+ given the ridic ICM considerations... which was very close to my actual shoving range. Had already folded A8o BvB vs you. Was surprised at the call... but given dynamics was definately understandable. (just hold ffs lol)

As I said at the table... wp, the win was fully deserved... deffo made my life miserable throughout.

Congrats Trigg and Wayne Bentley.  Two big scores there.

Wow, well done Sam!

Sam is a bit "marmite", peeps are either hot or cold on him, but I think he's splendid fun, & we get along terrific. He's an incredible impressionist, too, which to be fair has bugger all to do with anything really....

Well done Mr R.

i didnt think the ICM implications were too much of a concern, other two had around 800k at the time. I loved how you stepped it up when you got the CL if QQ hold we go HU 90% of the time. gg

well i didnt deem the ICM implications as much of a factor as him so i figured his jam range was a lot wider than he stated, jamming folds all his air out. We were actually battling quite a bit  BvB however since the dynamic had changed i had got a lot of opens from Sb to his BB through. I didnt know this was the WOT was the villain/hero at the time

40/1807 in WCOOP5 flipped really well at the start and badly at the end.

WCOOP is a charade really, invented out of nothing by Pokerstars to become a rake creating monster. Hats off to them for making so many people fall for it!

?? ?? ?? ??

In what way is it a charade?

Because it is no different to any other online tournament.

It would be like knitting two jumpers, selling one at the market for £3 and the other one at Laura Aslhey under the lixury range for £99.

They are called two different things, but are exactly the same only one costs loads more than the other.

I might start the Camel's Regional Annual Poker Series. And I'll award bracelets too!

I'm only going to play if there's an awards ceremony at the end.

With a Lifetime Achievement award for Danial Negreanu

Decide the prize will be a bucketful of Camel shit instead.

Negreanu wins!

Does anything make the camel happy? I used to think he was a happy guy.

I can honestly say I have never been happier than I am today.

Thank you for worrying about my mental health, it means an awful lot to me xx

Terrible example. Expect a lot better from you.

Obviously its different- it provides some added value in the form of a bracelet and player of series etc- it has bigger guarantees than the regular comps, and has a "better" structure than the regular comps. And costs exactly the same

You are miles off on this one imo

The rake is no higher right ? £99 and £3 jumper thing doesn't really make any sense, assuming the rake isn't 33x higher than normal, seems a fair assumption to make. Loads of people play them because they know loads of other people will be thus huge prizepools, pretty simples, not really sure what there is not to like.

If they added money instead of increasing guarantees (which they meet with ease), then I'd say you had a point.

I don't think a crappy bracelet which could be valued at about tuppence happeny or a player of the series award which is worth about $2 per player is "added value" in a realistic meaning of the phrase.

Structures, schmuctures. It just takes an extra 3 hours for me to do my money, whop de whop.

The only possible way these are better than the normal tournaments is because bad players are "taking a shot" in games much bigger than they usually play in or have won a seat - (people who have bought into the myth of the Emperors new clothes that WCOOP is a special series)

But this is offset by every online genius in the world playing the series.
