The idea Woods conceded that putt to Molinari was a great act of sportsmanship is ridiculous beyond words.

If Molinari needed that putt to make it 14-14 it's infinity to one Tiger would have given it to him.

14-14 was the same as 14.5-13.5 to the Americans, they don't win the cup with either score. I think Tiger just wanted to get off the course asap.

Why isn't the cup shared if it's 14-14?

(The same thing applies when Jack Nicklaus gave Tony Jacklin that putt.. again it made no difference to who lifted the cup)

You do realise I was joking, right?

Didn't see you post on the subject mate.

Just responding some of the rubbish I've seen on twitter and in reports today.

Ah fair enough. Some odd folk about. I'd suggested Woods missed to take the heat off Stricker. In jest, naturally.

Apparently the American team didn't join the Europeans for a beverage. First time I've heard of that happening. Doubt it's the first time it's happened of course.

Article on the game from the Chicago Tribune - the comments are a hilarious litany of dimwits missing the point.

Impossible isn't it?
It's either in Europe or the USA. Can't be both.
The cup is won, you don't get it by drawing.
I like it, it's ours till somebody beats us.

Should be some sort of playoff imo, would be epic, meh at winning it just coz you won the last one.

Was this the best comeback ever, not just in golf but in any sport?

Ryder cup app is pretty cool this time around. Live radio from practice rounds all day today and cool guests. Loads of video clips too.
