I heard about the windows being smashed in, heard one story, so not sure if it is right. I saw the windows today too as I visited briefly, still not sorted.
It looks like a nice place, weird layout for me, but card room looks really nice. I got posting on Facebook and it looks already like half the regs that start a cash game at G-Casino are going to be playing at Genting, can not wait, they have treated the customers like garbish, so they deserve the boycott. I think Genting probably needs a little change to schedule though.

went to genting last night, a 1/2 game and a 50/1 game were running, nice cardroom, and good wifi is a bonus. Numbers weren't the best as the tourney was a freeroll, but were trying to sort out a 2-2/5-5 DC game for every thursday 10pm start

Popped down tonight, quite like the place. Nice looking venue, food looks pretty good, card room is very nice. The comps seem well structured, and if anything, a little bit too well structured for low stakes/week night tournaments (For those of us planning to work the next day). They managed about 40 today for the £17+1 re-entry deepstack, they got 28 last night for the £55 and 110 for the freeroll + £10 rebuys on Monday. Hope they can get a decent following, if nothing else it's tons better than the competition in Sheffield.

Hi,
A quick response as I don't want to step on anyone's toes but Simon has kindly agreed for me to come on and answer the questions.
Cash games - They are rake free throughtout October apart from (Sun 7th & Sat 13th), we've had a £1/£2 Texas running every night since we opened along with 50p/£1 every night apart from 1, we've also had a £5/£5 PLO on the opening night, we are setting up a regular DC game hopefully to run initially on a Thursday and Sunday
Launch tournament is on Saturday 13 October @ 5pm, £100 (+£10) with £5,000 cash and 5 x GPS seats ADDED, 30 minute blinds throughout and a 15,000 starting stack, it is a 1 day event.
Apart from that we've 2 restaurants and 3 bars, a big gaming floor and a luxurious card room.
Hope to see you all soon at Genting Club Sheffield
